Look at the crush zones on the chevy...the hood is designed to fold up in the middle to block projectiles from coming through the windshield... looks spot on right there..

Remember closing the hoods on the mid 70's gm trucks ?If you didn't lube the hinges prior to closing you'd role the dice on bending the hood or not .lolLook at the crush zones on the chevy...the hood is designed to fold up in the middle to block projectiles from coming through the windshield... looks spot on right there..
