Anyone know where to find one of these or what they are actually called. All seasons Marine uses one to move boats around their yard

They are called Tugs. One of the big brand names is Tug in fact.

Do a search for airport ground support equipment and you'll find several companies that sell old and refurbished tugs.

A friend had one to move his boat across the street of his neighborhood to the boat ramp. He really liked the small size, power and not needing to get out his truck to launch. Good luck finding the Tug

They seem to pop on CL from time to time. Sometimes Military ones can be found at auction. Maybe Iron Planet or such?

No they don't, it's a chain drive skid steer (like an old school bobcat) with the cab taken off and a hitch fabricated to the bucket arms.

One of the common old luggage tugs are called Petibones

forklifts seem to be most common and have multiple uses as opposed to the singular use of a tug type emplement.
Rack storage...you can do it..be the first. lol
Yes I agree was just thinking g it might be cheaper then a fork lift

There are many different types of tugs. They vary in size and capabilities. Some are for pushing aircraft which come in different sizes and then there's baggage tugs. Baggage tugs can be gas, diesel or electric with a bunch of different companies building their versions of them. They probably aren't nearly as cheap and plentiful as a forklift and probably less useful for what you want to do.

Get a small tractor and get one of these for the back and then you will never have to deal with the jack as this will lift the tongue up with the push of a lever that runs the hydraulics.

Old taylor-dunn electric carts are very heavy duty, and have 9" rear ends. i got an old one from the san diego zoo, and it works like a dream with a pintle hitch

I agree with sharpshooter I think you’d get a lot more versatility and use out of a forklift.

Parts tend to hard to find for those TUGs for the layman...I'd go with a forklift

At many drilling sites we have a fork attachment that is a pintle hitch.
Would be nothing to make a ball hitch. Like this but we make our own.

Our marina purchased an old diesel tug at an airport auction. Works great for larger loads. Ramp is not steep, but no problem with our 22k deal on a slick surface.

Just noticed this one this morning. No idea if it's been sitting here and just missed it or if they towed it here last night. o_O

This one might be for sale. At least that's what the ramp attendant mentioned yesterday.

A fork lift is going to be cheaper, the same size, easier to maintain and will serve multiple purposes.
Once you have one you will find all kinds of uses for it.
