I bought the old Buckskin Fire boat, I need a reputable shop to do the fiberglass and gelcoat repairs along with an interior shop. The shop I had lined up just told me I am about 2 months or better out on the waiting list. SOOOOO, I was wondering if anyone knew of a good reputable shop to handle the repairs??

GOOD LUCK!!

I have been thrashing trying to get interior work done since November. 2 months is the shortest lead time I heard, and they were nowhere near my first choice. I'd try Jody at Conquest.

Where are you located? And what kind of glass work does it need?

We are in Phoenix, I can drive to pretty much anywhere! LOL
Where all the fire equipment was mounted needs to be repaired and the hull where the suction line was for the water canon, stress cracks and bolt holes. I can send some pics if needed. 20200117_123126.jpg 20200117_123425.jpg 20200117_124158.jpg 20200117_122844.jpg 20200117_123126.jpg

Sorry I'm no help here with a shop sugestion but I would put the pump and cannon back on. Drive through the channel and teach those super soaker fools a lesson.

Or not:confused: I saw that boat sunk last summer-ish when a hose came off the pump and flooded it. I know they pulled it right away, no damage. Just curious, how does a fire department sell a boat, Craigslist or local add or did it go through an auction?

I’d talk to Martinez interiors.. they can likely submit the gel if not do it in house.

From what I learned, most vehicles that were purchased with state funds have to be auctioned off.

Could be tough to get done in Havasu with boating season coming up quick. The good news is that is looks fairly simple and all white. If it was different colors or fades it could cost a bit.
Pat’s in Upland, CA did great work for a reasonable price when i “relocated” the tower in my Nautique.
