kind of strange that ALL fishing Optis have an air filter for Compressor,But Mother Merc decided the 250/300XS don't need them

Mine are SUPER loud with how they layout under the X cowl and how Joe did them. I’d love to quiet them down!

Rumor has it that Canada Tuff 24 deep V is running 115 mph with a 300XS. Tunnel territory.

The current set up is going to be reliable, pump gas easy, and perform reasonably well...
I have four fuel set ups...20, 40, 67, and 107 gallon options. For the Delta, I’ll run the 40 gallon set up. Gives me 160-200 mile range, and allows me to run a two seat interior.
This won’t be the monster I’m used to, but it will have some great features that will make it a better boat overall. The design is light, balanced, and about 330 hp ...
It should be a perfect Delta ripper.

Rev, did u build the new shed to add a new 24 Tuff 300R ?
I've only been in a few 100+ mph V bottoms & was never comfortable. Not saying the Tuff does it in ANY way. That chine walking feeling freaks me out. 24 Tuff looks like an incredible setup.

That was a long high speed rip. I'm currently turning my Tuff 21 into a ski race boat. Hope to have it done for the first race of the year March 7&8 in Parker. Taking the ski pole set up to the powder coater today. Pulling the current hydraulic steering out and replacing with the Imco power hydraulic side ram set up.

Pretty sure you are correct on that, the engine is a 300xs dressed in a 300x cowling.
