Everyone who isn’t a close friend gets my google voice #. Easy to block spam, it has an app. The biggest downfall is limited numbers. So start stalking the prefix you want

i use it all the time. anything that isnt related to finances gets the google voice number and i use it to filter out junk calls.

I have had it for probably 10 years or so... I like to use it for when I put my phone number online. I really liked it when you could use the google voice chrome extension to text but now you have to go into the website mode. It's still much easier than using my phone to text a youtube video or a website to a friend. It's much easier to type a text too since it's a full keyboard on my computer.

This is how it use to work now you have to have a website tab open to use it.

It's got a pretty good spam filter too. Here is one of the calls it filtered.

I usually use WhatsApp for wi-fi calls. Works great.

But this Google voice thing is interesting....

I use it for work. Love it. I’ve had it for a long time and back when I got it you were able to pick your number.... mine has my badge number in it.
