I am done. I think I have explained my position on polls. I don't know where the disconnect is, but we are not on the same wavelength. Have a good night.

Really,
I repeatly made my position crystal clear...
Texas is in play this year. Showed examples in 2016, 2018, I furthered my debate with 2020 articles From Fox.
Used your own attachments, to counter what you stated.

showed Fox news Articles in the past that called it Pink, not blue or red, in 2016.
showed many articles to Prove my point.

you show national polls... then state they are Texas?....

Call me out all you want, but I am prepared to back up my beliefs, and willing to admit when I am wrong.

At the moment

Texas is not a slam dunk for Trump
Florida is not a slam dunk for Trump
270 is not a slam dunk for Trump,
This debate, didnt help him in his goals.
His Ego is his greatest weakness.

I truly hope that I am wrong about the above.
I dont want a future hoping that Biden doesnt fuck us over.

It's a sad day that this is the best we have to offer from either side

I said that in 2016,
Doubled down this year...

Trump is no great prize at all... but he is better than
Compare him to Hillary, seriously how does the democrats come up with a better alternativ?
Compare him to Biden, Really, Biden is better than Hillary... Come On Man..

I hope 2024, flushs the toilet, and gets some better candidates.. On Both sides.

This country needs a president who can unify, not seperate. I appreciate Trump for his core beliefs, but he is his own worst enemy, when it come to unifying and being presidential.

As much as he respects Reagan, he needs to study his communication skills, message and speaking skills.

You aren’t completely wrong.
Trump did not prepare for this.
Imagine being president in 2020 even WITHOUT an election.
He did not come into this with the dedication that was required. He’s been a little busy and they knew it.
It’s still 5 weeks till the election.
It won’t happen again.

I’d LOVE to be a fly on the wall on the WH war room tonight.
All hell might break loose in the coming days.
The term “I fear we’ve awakened a sleeping giant” comes to mind.
Trump is a vengeful fucker. He is NOT above playing dirty and id hate to be the target of his wrath right now.
Id wager Barr is a busy mother fucker in the next 3-4 weeks.

Oh...and Texas may actually be in play...

Guys,
I understand that the vast majority on RDP is on the conservative side.

This debate started with a softball question to Trump, he should have knocked it out of the park.
He didnt.

He should have put Biden in his place, he didnt.

He didnt come across as Presidential..

Conservative viewers, walked away with the same mindset.
Ditto, for Liberal viewers..

Question I have for you, do you think Trump gained or lost Swing voters?

I believe he probably lost more swing voters than he may have gained.

I want him to win, but I have lost alot of confidence based on what I watched.

I would agree with you but are there really any swing voters in this election ?

I have stated that I hope I am wrong..
But no one is disputing what I have stated.

Texas is in play
Florida is in play,
270 is in question
this debate did not further his goal.
His Ego is his greatest weakness

Keep calling me the bad guy, but dont just say that..

Give me opinion, based on facts that proves me wrong...

Maybe I will sleep better tonight.

I am very very conservative, but I do believe in the freedom of choice, when it comes to abortion. But I also believe in the Death Penalty for convicted felons, who are convicted of henious crimes.

I would rather have a fetus aborted, than be raised by a piece of shit mother, who has no way to help that baby become a responsible citizen. So in my mind,,, I truly believe in the death penalty.

Lets go further.
When a horse breaks a leg, what is the humane thing to do? ”Put it out of its misery”

But humans who are in Stage 4 cancer, or end of life, must be given every thing on earth to keep them alive against there wishs? Costing familys thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of dollars.

We are allowed to be Humane to Animals, but not humans..

So when I say I believe in the death penalty, I have thought out all scenarios, happy with my beliefs.
At the same time, I respect those who disagree with me. I only get one vote, and ditto for them.

At the same time, someone at the end of life, should not have to wait for FDA approval for a new drug. Terminal diagnosis is still Terminal, give them a chance if thats what they want. Trial drugs should be allowed.

I agree with you and I’m pro trump all the way. This was for the swing voters. That being said this is the first debate. So now that he has thrown out all of Biden’s dirt he needs to recollect himself and at the next one really hammer home the effects of Biden’s proposed plans and ways of operation versus his. Trump is bringing up the failed economy that Obama handed him but the economy has since prospered for everyone and therefore the swing voters have enjoyed that surplus. They have forgotten about Obama’s curses and now will question if it was trump or Obama because it’s been 4 years. He needs to paint the picture for the voters. And he needs to take it down a couple notches to appeal to them. He can make Biden hang homself out there if he allows him to speak freely and lose his train of thought. By attacking him every 10 seconds he isn’t causing the breakdown he was intending he’s allowing Biden to reset and then deflect. And eats up all of Biden’s talking time but doing so he isn’t allowing him to show the Public the moron that he is. He’s very Passionate but if that passion is out of control it comes from a place Of weakness and bullying and that will Lose the swing voters IMO.
I agree. He needs to reign in his interruptions and hypotheticals. I don't think this argument session did anything for either side really. I think if Trump is able to keep his answers a little more concise, his jabs a little more poignant, point out Biden's true work history (his '94 crime bill for a start), point out the cost (both financial and life style) of Biden's plans, I think thats how he persuades the swing vote and realy knocks Biden back on his heels and makes him flounder.

Um...I’ve actually agreed with your assessment for the most part.
Trump walked into this like it was a scheduled rally.
Big mistake. It won’t happen again.
I do not agree with your swing vote assessment though, strictly based on polarized voter bases.

Swing voters are writing in Flake.

I hate trump as a public speaker I always have. I hate when he tweets. I hate when he bullies. But on every salient and I will emphasize salient topic he came out ahead. There is no swing vote in this election. Could he have been better on the points that he could have driven home? Absolutely was he ever given the chance? No. Everytime the moderator said hold on mr President we are going to talk about that topic next he would deliver the next question to biden. The country is already decided and the talking points are what they are. Trump delivered quite a few knock out blows and Biden a stammering of dude and shut up were all the proof I need that he is no more "presidential" than his opponent. I can't wait for the next debate. Biden not drooling all over himself was a win and that's as far as it goes. He did not deliver one statement outside of his prepared notes that helped himself. His promise to raise 400bn in taxes made the republican base say fuck no in a resounding voice and anyone else who has any sense.

One look at the current economy and the prospect of increased business taxes should make everyone with a job nervous.

They both should be embarrassed by there performance and actions. All I know is if I acted like either of these guys at work I would be out of a job.

I’m so glad I had a light bar to finish installing on my X3. Saved my night. I walked out on the debate. My 10 yo son an 6 yo daughter even said why are they acting like that. If a kid can call it you know it’s bad for both.

That was Embarrassing.. I am pro trump all the way but he didn’t deliver last night. All Biden had to do was not drool Or stroke out. Trump should have mopped the floor with him, but he didn’t..

I hope he gets his shit together for the next debate.. The fact his campaign is saying best debate performance in history is embarrassing as well.. I think I would have said, we will ramp up for round 2..

Either way I’d give my left nut for a Reagan right now. I can’t hardly believe these are the two rubbing for the leader of the free world.

BTW when did debates turn into this BS? What happened to writing down notes when your opponent is talking and countering when it’s your time?

I am very disheartened after last night..

I had this same conversation with my buddies last night after the debate. This debate was Trumps to lose, and I feel like he lost it, plenty of opportunities to hit some home runs, and he missed them. Us Trump supporters are never going to vote left, and the left will vote for anyone BUT Trump, so these debates should be all about the swing vote. If I was a young naive voter, who really doesn't pay attention to politics, and I watched this debate just to get a sense of who each candidate really was, I could honestly say, I would be most likely to leave the debate leaning towards the left, Trump let his ego get in the way.

I am hoping his aggressiveness was planned, possibly an effort to get Joe flustered, but I hope he tones it down a few notches in the next debate.

Also, I am interested in the VP debate next week., that should be a little more professional, and not sure if Pence can handle Kamala.

These are 100% my thoughts exactly. Just like last time I'm not exactly voting for Trump, I'm voting against Biden and for Trump's policies

While I agree with a lot of what you're saying the emotions of dealing with a possible "socialist biden" presidency definitely puts a lot of people on edge.

We do have some major issues at play. You have to play the hand you have, send it either way pragmatically. But beyond 2024 what's next? Where are the people with good ideas? On the left it goes all wacko sjw, socialist, everything is the white mans fault. The guys thought to be the future of the right (Paul Ryan) had no backbone and bowed out. Why are the only people running for the presidency old farts that still pay for an AOL account and wouldn't know how to operate an iPad? Nor will they be around to live through their further destruction of this once great Republic.

Where are the Gen Xers who understand the big picture? Why have none stepped up to the plate? You get the feeling they see what's going on and have decided they want no part of it. Meanwhile the void will be filled by opportunistic commie shit bags like aoc and group of rag tag 3rd world dirt bags all fighting for attention.

The majority of the left and some of the right has watered down our society to the point where there is no cohesive message of what the founding fathers "Republic" really is. I believe it was a game plan going back to LBJ's great society and the naturalization act of 1965. Flood this country with 3rd world socialism and eventually it will take hold. Uneducated people are easy to manipulate and control to keep you in power.
Too many hungry mouths to feed while promising freedom all while enslaving those who earn and produce to pay for it.
This reminds me of the scene from Full Metal Jacket where they do the interviews about Vietnam.

"I hope 2024, flushs the toilet, and gets some better candidates.. On Both sides." YES!!!

I have a bad feeling our best days are behind us...

God I felt like Biden won.. there might be hope yet!

I honestly did as well. Like the devil (530) said, we set our expectations high for Trump, and really didnt expect to see Biden even being able walk to the podium. So it was never able to meet our expectations.

On a side note, I watched “A clockwork orange” today and during Alex’s reprogramming I couldn’t help feel as though his pain was similar to that of watching the “debate” regardless of who’s side one was on.
