no, sounds like a man that was comfortable in his surroundings and afraid to take a risk. Nothing wrong with that but if you don’t take a risk in life the chances of you getting ahead are slim. true story there. I met some people traveling deep in the south that were some of the most content people i've ever met, ironically they also had some of the very least out of anyone i've ever met.
