South Carolina plans to stop some of its federally-funded unemployment benefits to address "ongoing workforce shortages," according to the South Carolina governor's office, leaving many out-of-work residents without any support at all.

The state joins Montana, which announced a similar move this week.

AZ is going to start requiring people receiving unemployment to actively seek employment, a requirement I wasn’t aware had been relaxed.

Well, how did you relate something regarding states rights to my post? Did I say they don’t have rights? πŸ™„

Yes, I’m for diligently seeking employment if you’re drawing unemployment. I wasn’t aware the requirement had been dropped.
Not that it’s relevant to the conversation but I think unemployment recipients should be drug tested too.

Actually this is a brilliant idea. If a conservative state cuts off the government cheese, it will force their socialist sheep to migrate back to the big socialist utopia states like California, Illinois, New York, etc...and leave the home state free of the socialist plague that is trying to spread across the nation and destroy the Republic.

What administration could have possibly lobbied for and signed into law a 600 dollar a week federal benefit to sit at home while also dropping the requirement to search for work?

Sure am glad those Socialist Marxist liberals are gone. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Democrats Propose Permanent Boost To Unemployment Benefits
With COVID-19 relief for jobless Americans set to expire soon, two Democratic senators propose new national standards for compensation.
While extra federal jobless benefits are set to expire in September, Democrats are hoping to learn from the upheaval of the coronavirus pandemic to permanently change the unemployment insurance system to ease times of economic crisis.

Man, you are dumb as the day is long. Please share exactly what was occurring nation wide when this "temporary " assistance was afforded to a segment of the population?

Oh, and what administration is trying to make the government cheese a "permanent " entitlement?

Well that is simple. It's the party of the super duper ultra conservatives... that are so conservative they have become Libturd Progressives. To the point of voting out the closest thing to an actual conservative there was and replacing him with a progressive liberal. I think it was once described as taking flight heading west, eventually you will land in the east. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
