Basically it is to supplement school lunches that she has not got because of covid. I think.

Anyway it has $600 on it and instacart accepts it. You don’t even have to sign up for it. It just gets sent out I guess.

Funny thing is my kid always takes lunch to school lol.

We had a similar situation when this scam-demic started last year. We send the kids to school every day with lunch and last year when all of this started our kids were coming home with school hand out lunches. We didnt need them, we didnt sign up for them, we didnt request them but when my wife asked the principal what it was all about she was told that they had to be handed out no questions asked.

It was an absolute waste of school money, think about every kid in K-12th grade received one regardless if they needed one or not and this went on for over a month. I understand some families had some hardship through all of this but to assume every kid needed lunch/breakfast hand outs was ridiculous.

Not to mention the food they were handing out was garbage- chocolate doughnuts, chocolate milk, boxed cereal full of sugar, soggy sandwiches. We ended up accumulating a bunch of food and dropped it off at a local church.

My point being this was all a huge waste of money and the money could have been put to better use towards the students and school supplies.

Entry level wages aren't meant to be a living wage or a wage to raise family on. Some choose to do so, not clue how but obviously its not "success". People with little to no skills or experience need to start somewhere and work their way up.

My company pays entry level jobs twice what our local minimum wage is. We had plenty of people applying before the additional unemployment benefits went in to place. Now not so much.

People who are sitting at home collecting unemployment today are the ones who will always been in that situation. They have no desire to work their way up and out of that spot. Someone worth $15/hr pre covid could find themselves a job today for $25/hr without leaving their fucking house.

Ones who are applying for and getting the job are actually hard workers and want to advance themselves, at least thats what we're seeing right now. Theres just not enough of them. There are soooo many openings out there. WAY more than the media is telling the American people about.

And she has the gall to tell me that I should have white guilt for the life I live.

How do I know these things?? My wife works in the accounting department of a jr college.

What happened is, the gooberment gave the schools MILLIONS of fucking dollars in the name of covid relief. The schools HAVE to spend this money!!!!!

Well guess what? There really are not enough things at the moment they need to spend this money on, within the guidelines of the program. And, all the employees that work in her department, already have enough work to do, without trying to figure out how to spend money! So........................

Now they are looking to hire someone for the specific purpose of spending all the money they get from these goooberment programs!!!!

Did the school ask for this money? NO, IT DID NOT.

Buy they are going crazy trying to figure out how to spend it within the guidelines of the program. This "program" is set to last two or three years at least. The millions of unspent dollars they have sitting in the bank right now, will soon be infused with even more millions of dollars when the next big check shows up.

This is why your students are getting money they never asked for.

There is a shit ton more to this story as well. Some of the relief money actually went to teachers. When other teachers from other schools found out what school A was doing, the teachers from school B went to the union to ask where their fucking money was! So now the unions are involved...
