They are swimming from rotary park north through the channel and out to the no wake buoys abd then back to rotary beach.. approximately 3 miles

going to be down there early tomorrow.. my 9 year old is doing it.

Our 9 year old will be swimming! Come cheer these kids on from the shore. Bring your noise makers. Debbie from our team will be paddle boarding along side Sierra. Alex, Wendi and I will be walking the channel and cheering her on from the shore. I can barely walk 3 miles let alone swim. These kids have worked hard for this. Sierra is pretty nervous but we are trying to keep her positive. I believe there are 5 9-year olds that qualified. They will be taking off first.

I just looked at the London Bridge web cam and it’s to late..... no swimmers! They must of already passed.

My wife did it, she is fifty, 5650 yards. They used to do the three miles from Havasu landing across the lake to Windsor site four. She said that was more intimidating than the shallow water in the channel.

Sorry came home and passed out the whole family is exhausted especially Sierra.. lol

Sierra swam all the way out to the no wake buoy but was running out of time. She ended up jumping up n the paddle board with Debbie somewhere around the bridge on the way back. I think she swam a little over two miles..

watching the kids swim that far was pretty inspiring. The kids legs looked like jello when they hit the beach.. lol

Sierra had quite the cheering group come down this morning! Thank you to everyone that came out!

Round qualifies as a shape...and I would have tapped out after about 10 yards or one beer length

Good job to your daughter...2 miles is a LONG swim. I remember doing a 1 mile in scouts back in the day...my fat ass would die off now.

Super fun day today! I’m so proud of Sierra’s grit. Debbie volunteered to be her support today and we are so grateful. She stuck it out the full two hours and made it back to the bridge on the way back. All of these kids were so impressive today. Thank you to everyone that came down to cheer her on!
