If you could choose the year you were born would you or would you keep it the same and why?

Being a 90s baby I might have grown up with some fun electronics but I would have loved to be born around 1955ish and experienced the muscle car area of the 60s, the river in the 70s, and then the offshore heyday of Miami in the 80s.

Because of the 70s and 80s the same....music was certainly better.. :) In the 70s, you could tell a car apart from another...Had a gto I should have died in..:p Friend had a cutlass 442 he should have died in. :p He had a vicious stereo system and he put on Frank Zappas Joes Garage...if you ever heard the Central Scrutinizer at volume 20 it was insane.... I will never forget that..

Being born in 1955 would be pretty gnarly about the time you turned 18 in the early 70's. I would not want the stress of wondering if I was going to end up in Vietnam.

That is true, I didn’t think of that.

I've often thought that I was born too late. I would have loved to have been an early 20 something when front motor Top Fuelers were tearing up So. Cal. drag strips. I was born in 1972 and was fortunate enough to race motocross in the 90's, which I believe was one of the best era's in MX.

I would change it to where my prime would be in the 80's. Mullet's, cocaine, big hair, big parties, El Camino's, Big Block Chevy's in a little sled, your kids PE teacher cruising the river on a jet ski in a thong or in the wet t shirt contest, the music, and no phones to get you in trouble. I was born in 89. The early 2000's were fun but the entertainment went soft after that. I would love to have seen Judas Priest at Glen Helen in 1983. I did see them in 2009 and that was bad ass.

Born in 1956 and wouldn’t have it any other way. Great memories of the late sixties and going forward.

Born in 68. No complaints. OC and Havasu in 70’s and 80’s was epic but often wondered what it would have been like to grow up in the 50’s and 60’s when things were just starting to explode.

Well 82 and I don't think I'd change it. Growing up with metallica, ozzy, motley crue, Alice in chains, nirvana, soundgarden, megadeth, Pantera, deftones, sepultura. I still have my first guitar, a 1996 American strat. And I'm reliving that era every Friday and Saturday night. Rock on 🤘😎🍻

My Dad was born in 1944 in West Covina, Ca. Teenager in the 50’s and 60’s in SoCal at the height of the hot rod era. Going to the river for the weekend when $100 paid for EVERYTHING for 3 days. Opportunity was unlimited and traffic was unheard of. Weather was awesome and the rules for everything nowadays was nonexistent . It was a magical time to live and grow up. Everything after 1980 turned into a total clusterfuck. So yeah. I wish I was born in that era. Nothing will ever be better or replicate that time.

'62. Pretty awesome time to grow up in rural Tustin, haha. Stayed out all day as a kid without worrying about anything. Built cars and other cool stuff in shop class. Kegger party's and necking in the hills! If the cop's got you, you'd have to pour out the beer and they'd escort you home. Most of the GREAT music was coming out when I was a teenager. River trips when you were the first ones out skiing at 7AM and slept in a tent when you were lucky. Taking the bus or riding our bikes down to Newport to surf. Experienced the best days of the river, Sundance, etc. There is no other time or place I would have liked to be born!!!

My best friend Lou was born in 48. My dad was born in 44. Lou told me plenty of times just those two or three years between 44 and 48 were a huge difference.
My dad never smoked weed or did any other indiscretions associated with the freer crowd.
Lou on the other hand lived the summer of love as a teenager. Living 45 minutes from SF didn’t hurt the party status for him I’ve gathered.

And Vince probably didn’t sound like a stepped on bullfrog then.
I had the honor of seeing Randy Rhoades before he passed. One of the loudest but clearest sounding concerts ever at the Providence Civic center.
