Given today’s state of hyperinflation and skyrocketing home, vehicle, and toy prices, I thought it’d be fun to see what items y’all sold too damn cheap!!!
Mine was our 2001 caliber 1 with 454 and bravo 1. Low hour great boat I sold for 17k in 2017. Probably worth 35k nowadays. Even worse was the guy we bought it from in 2009 when we got it for 9500!

I guess my Ultra for 23 is now 35 and my river house I sold for 550 is near a 800.
Im happy I made out on both and it was 3 years ago, so who da thunk.

My 1998 Silverado back in 2013. Sold it for $4500 to the first guy that saw it. With the other ad I saw it could be worth $15k or more.

Read the OP’s comments and thought yeah this could be fun or interesting. But, no…. It’s kinda fucking depressing..

I guess I don’t buy enough stuff or I hoard the stuff I have. Have sold anything worth mentioning in the last two years.

Gave one of these away cheap because I had too much other shit going on and I didn't want to take time/effort to get my hands dirty.

Mom had an 8-person dining table with arm chairs with matching hutch and buffet, solid cherry, made in 1923. Told her that I wanted it and would ship it x-country to my home. Went back to her house a few years later and it was gone. A "really nice" antique dealer offered her $400 and she took it. This was in the 1990's and it was too late to do anything about it... Yes, still pissed...

Most all of us got rid of all our guns a few years ago.

Yep!
Did I mention that 2 mini 14’s, a gaggle of AR’s, HK93 (5.56) and a whole pile of Mossbergs also went for probably $1200 all together...
And a 1908 .32 Savage
Back then guns depreciate...who knew.

Definitely not meant to be depressing just getting a good laugh at what a crazy time we are in for buying and selling.

I
I just sell shit and move forward. I try to never look back. It does no good.
I am the same way but instead of bothering me I laugh at what I didn’t know then! Hindsight always humbles.

1969 Dodge Super Bee original 440-6 stroked to 470 w/ 4 spd lift off hood 35K miles $4000
1969 Plymouth Road Runner stroked 400 w/ 6 pack 4 spd Dana 4.88 beautiful car $3000
1970 'Cuda factory 383 4 spd (of course stroked) elastomeric bumpers, Recaro seats, Koni shocks, auto cross mods $900.
1986 Honda CR 500 perfect condition, just too fast for my aging reflexes. Lots of Pro Circuit mods to manage the power and lots of money spent at Race Tech too. $900 The buddy I sold it to, looped it and broke his back badly in just a few outings. I looped it 2 years before that doing a 4th gear wheelie. Broke my back too, but never knew it until a chiropractor pointed it out in an xray years later.

I’d be upset too. I have my grandparent’s cherry china hutch and it is our favorite piece of furniture.

My 67 Mustang. Killer built 406, beautiful paint and everything else you can imagine. I was pissed at it. Cop pulled me over just to ask me how much I wanted for it. I pretty much gave it away.

My jet skis. Rock solid 550 and built to fuck 440. They were rotting away in my side yard. 800 bucks for both skis and the trailer.

Dumb!!!

1964 GTO, Factory Tri-power, M22, loaded interior with the chrome center console and dash with factory vacuum gauge. The car was absolutely loaded and mint except the hood needed to be repainted because of a carb fire. I was done with it and sold it for $2500.00 in 1986. Bought a new Camaro that's not worth shit today. The GTO is very collectable and it was one of my high school cars. Wish I still had it.
