It’s worth a lot more than what he’s asking! Jump on it.

I want to see it first. Hoping the boat market stays hot in the U.S until August. Toss in new motors and redo the interior. Use it a few times here and then sell it in the states in August.

Says items unavailable. But a running bullet in decent condition (like original gauges, old but decent interior, original paint, trailer with 502’s or 454’s or other era correct power and bravos) would be a 50k boat upgrades everything 65k boat. The bullets weren’t super popular so a little more rare. At only 31 feet most people chose a 35 cafe racer or a 38 top gun.

If you can be into it for under 40k you’ll be fine and must likely make a buck.

Then again matters what the market does 90’s cafes going for 120-140! 90’s guns going fo 150 early 00’s guns going fit high 100’s. Shits crazy right now

Thanks Tank. Its still available. I'm going to try and get it cheap as possible. Now thinking offering $17k CDN. Ad says needs new 5.7 engine and drive. Don't know if they are missing or rebuild able. Going in expecting two new engines and drives or rebuilt ones at least. Id go 454. Like to be in it all work done for $40k CDN or $32K USD. I wouldn't go for crazy money when selling, would like to be below market and still make a profit.

5.7's huh? So its set up for small blocks. SBC's are cheap to buy reman, or even as fresh marine crate motors. Hopefully bravo drives?

Bravo drives..................... I'm already leaning towards 454's as upgrades. Still think all in it will be around $40k CDN to get a nice boat. I'll try and flip it for $50k USD and that would net me around $61k CDN. So some room for repairs and even new engines.

Do you have pics? I wanna see it!

We were just south of needles at Jerry’s house and This dude ran down river last October. He bought it out of Washington. Thing is beautifully redone.

I like the upgraded graphics on that one Tank......................... I think Facebook Marketplace only lets you see ads within a certain radius of your location. I took these from the ad:

You can see the seats need to be redone. But I can get upholstery work at materials at cost plus labor. Can get two Mercury 454's for $17k USD. I like the graphics. Now pricing out Bravos.

Couple things. Nice paint job on that. Cigarette called it the diver down paint job and it was first used on the staggered 38 gun in the early 90’s. And it caught on and is used in various colors and combos now all the way up to the most recent 51’ cigarette marauder in teal and white.

More importantly though, that’s not a cigarette bullet and I don’t know if it’s even a cigarette. Maybe a mid 70’s model but I’d have to look at it closer. Best way to tell is to check the HIN. IF it’s a cigarette it will start with CRT.

Glad I read the thread before looking. It isn't a real Cigarette. Needs full interior including the cabin. Its missing an engine and drive (bravo). Its a splash of a Cigarette. Id have to do the entire interior including cabin. Two engines and bravos. If He'd go $10k Id consider it. He admitted he paid $15k CDN.

There is an 1987 Formula that might work better. Marketplace - 1987 Formula F242 SR-1 | Facebook

I like the old school boats better then modern stuff.

The way to recent models all look basically the
Same. 😂👍

NIB, that boat you posted is in Summerland I think. I've seen it on lift in the water. Someone hacked those pictures and used it as a scam.
There's a older, real Cigarette for sale at Penticton Marina, albeit in rough shape, needing $$$ to make it decent. I think the mech there wants 40K cdn for it. The Formula in Kelowna is a great deal but looks like not counter rotating. Those 24 sr ones are a great hull, you'd enjoy running it in the ocean around Vancouver without worrying about the typical choppy confused waters. My Mirage 257 hull is very similar to those just more modern with fiberglass inner liner and 6,2 MPI's

Pictures are real, I looked at it yesterday in person. It wasn't a real Cigarette, HIN was wrong as Tank gave me the heads up. Needs a lot of work, not worth it.

I'm messaging the Formula this afternoon. I'm thinking with the little work the Formula needs, can get him down to $16k or roughly $12k USD. Worst case scenario I can sell it in the states and get my money back. Free boat minus gas expenses!

I forget what it was. He admitted he paid $15k for it. I'll ask again what make and do some research. Might offer him $10k.

Highway electronic boards asking folks to stay home still but popo doesn't really care anymore. If they stop you. just tell them you're looking at real estate in the Okanagan

I can't find anything on the current restrictions.

The guy hasn't got back to me yet. Id like to go Friday night and look at the Formula Sat morning. Bank has branches in Kelowna. Could buy it Sat afternoon and boat there all day Sunday.

I'm going to look at the Formula on the weekend maybe. Its on the island and the island may still be off limits to non essential travel. It looks good in pictures and the motors are freshly rebuilt with receipts.

I looked at a Cig 20 about twelve years ago. Should have bought it for the $10,500 they asked for it. It was in Portland.

That red one @redone76 posted above was on craigslist a month ago for 10k!!! @H20 Toie went and looked at it and offered I think 8k. It sold for full asking (obviously)...But Dan's busy buying a big boat soooooooo.

On the phone with the seller of the Formula. Broke my toe and don't really feel like crawling all over a boat. But trying to arrange a visit on Sunday.

Plan to use the Formula for the rest of this season. Sell it in the spring and get an early Top Gun or Café.

edit: he can't show the boat this weekend. Put a refundable deposit on it.

Sounds like Russian roulette, but with boats. Lol.

It kind of is.............................. Go fast boats are semi rare here and both are good deals. I'm getting a survey done on both boats. If my bank is a no go on increasing my credit line, then I'll just do the Formula. But I want both because I'm nuts.

Oh, I also need a bigger truck. Thinking dually. Besides Ford what are the other popular dually trucks out there. Need make and models. I only buy Ford's, but willing to switch to Chevy or Dodge. Just don't know their models.

If you like Fords, an F250 will be fine for both of those boats. Running joke is F150 will haul them but really, I wouldn't go that route.

I currently have a F150 and was thinking of trading it in on a F350. For some reason there is an added tax on F250's here and it makes them more expensive.

Looked on Autotrader and only 5 F250 diesels listed. This is the best one: 2005 Ford F-250 Lariat No Accidents Low Kilometers - Nanaimo (autotrader.ca) In USD they are asking $20k.

The Formula will be heavy. I'd try finding a Ram 3500, 2007 and older with no DEF. My friend [ Doug ] owns Willowbrook Chrysler. Give him a call and tell him Attila recommended to buy from. Used trucks are in demand, and if there's a good one, they're gone in a day. If you're really serious, I'd call him myself ,letting him know what you're looking for. ;)
