Came into Vegas to see Garth, What a fricken zoo, The new stadium is great, the plan they had to get people in and out of the venue is F’ed up. Closed roads, 117° and walking to the show was horrible. The vibe at the concert was lackluster for sure. Sound system was so so, Garth was great dealing with it. The crowd on the strip is stoned and rude, went downtown and came right back to MGM, felt like Skid row. Fricken shitshow.

will definitely think twice about coming back anytime soon.

That’s pretty sad. Me and the wife loved taking our motorhome from N. CA to Vegas for a yearly visit. We did that for quite a few years in a row. Probably 2010-2015 or so. I’ve heard it’s been fairly cheesy/ ghetto..y the last couple years. We always had a great time. Hope it gets fixed.

I agree with you, we went a couple months back and we really got the ghetto vibe, both in and out of our usual casino. No plans to go back anytime soon.

I've been working on the Stadium since it was dirt, lots of friends went to Garth and while it would have been nice to see that place filled up and operating i opted out. Figured it will take a few events for them to get ingress and egress figured out and streamlined. Stage was huge, watched them set it up

We have plans to go in early October to an RV park in the NW part of Vegas that has a shooting range on site. I have been looking forward to it, but the wife is having second thoughts after talking to a few friends that have been in Vegas recently. We like to hit the strip for a few nights to eat and gamble a little.

They also didn't use the Stadiums sound system other than concourse speakers, they brought in their own. Let me tell you, the sound system is insane, it will deafen you. There are 14 of the big speaker arrays hanging from the roof, and one will rock that place.

My coworker paid $100 just to park onsite for that concert. When he told me that we both figured he was saving money lol.

We saw Garth at State Farm Arena (Cardinal Stadium) March, 2019, the first stop of the Stadium Tour.

Now I've been going to various Concerts all over the Country for 50 some-odd years.

Garth was the greatest musical experience I ever had.

I was at Hugo's the other night downtown, that was awesome as usual, but downtown has become BumFights. Skid row for sure.

We were there about 3 weeks ago for my daughter‘s 21st.
What a fu….king shithole. Getto garbage everywhere. All of us were shocked.
after 3 days or so you figure out where and when to be out on the street and the routes to get around the filth..

No need to go again anytime soon..

Concert venues require a lot of experience and coordination to be successful and most businesses that shut down during the last year are out of practice. Many are short on people and experience And will need time to get back up to speed. I went to Hawaii in 2019 and returned in March 2021. Went back to many of the same bars/restaurants and noticed a definite drop off in quality of food and service, seemed the all around vibe was off too. Patience will be needed….

After hearing all of the negative comments and experiences we were not going to go in the foreseeable future. Then we get a call from my Brother, he's getting married there. We went to the wedding about six weeks ago and can tell you that all of the things the you hear about Vegas are true. The wedding and venue were fine, Vegas as a whole sucks beyond belief. I don't mind a little weed but the smell is ever present, there is literally nowhere to get away from it. Bums, homeless, tweekers, and general low life's are everywhere as well. The other thing that stands out is the lack of security, everywhere. The parking garages at the big name hotels on the strip have the same group of homeless and low life's hanging out in them. Most of the Hotels/Casino's have eliminated valet parking so you get to deal with the parking garage shit shows as well. It will be a long ass time before or even if we go back. I really think the Hotel/Casino owners need to get together on a plan to get the place cleaned up. It's nearing zombie apocalypse phase......

Oh and for a goof last night looked up hotels in that area. Excalibur was $300. I was just there and they should pay you on a Saturday night what with the half hour or more waiting for an elevator to your room. I will stick with my old fogey Sunset Station even though I am sick to death of looking at it.

Live and work in Vegas for 20 years up to the last 6 months...Getto is an understatement. It has turned into a shit show. The GOV has opened doors to homeless, thugs, criminals, spineless leaders want illegals, homeless and open boarders to make it a mini California...Funding for Metro has gone to shit, their hands are tied at every corner, cannot arrest anyone unless a felony or if they get the OK by HQ, they literally have to cite and release. Sometimes takes hours to get responses (not the officers fault though). Back a few years ago if there was anything negative going on at the strip you had tons of officers responding now a days it is a free for all, pot at every corner, inside and out, nothing Metro can do other than telling them to stop and if they have time to do a FI and cite them but that is a rarity. Back in the day there was so much undercover law enforcement activity on the strip you were as safe as can be, now you can get mugged, stabbed or shot right out in the open, these entitled POS low life scumbags from Cali have flooded the city and it is only going to get worse now that the Raiders are here. ANYONE arguing that point has absolutely no fking clue as to what is going on in Vegas. You could not pay me and most of my Vegas friends to go out on the town anymore just so we do not have to deal with scumbags...we all have proper training and our ccws so protection is not an issue it is just to avoid the guaranteed headache of dealing with the scumbags all over town...If you have to go to Vegas or really have the need book a room at the most expensive hotel on the strip and never leave the hotel on your trip, enjoy all the amenities they offer and you will be fine, the other way would be to book at Green Valley Ranch in Henderson, great hotel, clean, great food, safe area...maybe the RedRock their sister property if you like that side of town...

Lots of nice areas other than the strip I live here and avoid the strip. Give it a year the hotels have raised prices it should be ok again by then. PM boatcop he can give you the low down, I pretty much live at the lake 9 months out of the year . The other 3 months we travel vist friends and relatives.

You're probably going have to wait 3 years until a real president and administration is in control.

Really bummed to hear this.
We started our 25 years of family boating at Mead in 1990. Stayed in Boulder City and would go into Vegas one night each trip. Often went to Hugo’s downtown (that Racey says is still money). Took the kids and all was good. Have reservations at the Cosmo in December, going to see Cody Jinks at their small venue.
Sure hope we can cruise a little bit!

Red Rocks is nice. Last time I stayed there was the Frampton concert.

Pull a few extra bucks out of yer pocket and stay at one of the nicer hotels. We spent a few days at Encore a month ago and the room rates kept the riff raff out.

I saw bunch of negative comments on this forum and was skeptical, but we had a great time. Did notice a BIG difference in the crowd from MGM to Wynn’s joints.

Vegas has been “open” for a month and a half. The casinos will take care of the unwanted element long before the city, to protect their investment.
