Does LV have the base to fill the stands? It's one thing for 8 once or twice every couple of weeks NFL Sunday home games. But could they even get close to a decent (profitable) crowd with 81 MLB home games, many being mid-week day games?

The worst fan base in baseball is Tampa Bay. A location which shouldn’t have a team so anything is possible. I guess the same thing could be said for the Diamondbacks this year. Talk about stinkeroo! I hope they come being a Red Sox fan. Plus just to do something different it sure beats the trip to Phoenix with that 93 death highway.

See what I mean about Tampa Bay? Those assholes can’t even take care of the Stanley Cup. :p

2.4M population in the Las Vegas Metro Area
6.5M in the Oakland Metro Area

And since we're talking about the A's.......

I grew up in Vegas. Worked there until I was 23 Years old.

I have friends that cant leave the place alone. Every weekend, they are there in the Clubs showboating. Never understood it.
I love my life at home and dont need to escape every month.

Last two times my wife and I have gone, we stayed at the Four Seasons. Never left the room except for Spa and an occasional bite to eat. Highly recommend it for a "ghetto free" experience.
Bingo. You can always count on the Four Seasons. Vegas continues to be one of my favorite 72 hour trips. Great hotels, gambling and world class restaurants all within a few miles. Maestros did not disappoint on our last trip there.

Flew through Vegas a few weeks ago, I was blown away at the airport. Place was full of piece of shit hood rats and big fat black women with 300 pound asses stuffed in yoga pants. Every single person I know who has been recently said they won’t go back, place is waaay to dark now.
They are all still there... big ole girls!!🤮🤮

I do wish the old place were around. I liked the Dunes, the Sands and Stardust.
A real cool casino I like that feels like an dive bar environment I enjoy is Ellis Island. I miss putting nickels in the machines. Had to grab the lady and buy rolls of coins. :p Haven’t been in Slots O Fun in years. Don’t know if they still got old school machines.

Actually too bad the mafia doesn’t run things anymore. They wouldn’t put up with this shit. There was class back in the day. You didn’t go out to dinner in a shitty tank top with your smelly ass armpit hair hanging out. You got dressed up. :p

I just spent a week in Vegas for work at the Rio. Seems like the Rio is hanging on by a thread, and I paid 11 bucks for a warm beer, lol. My view on Vegas proper is that it's totally ghetto, homeless and the whole place smells like weed. But I think it could change in the future once the Biden money runs out. Vegas and the surrounding suburbs have a lot going for them, they have a great Hockey team, Raiders and they're gonna get an MLB team soon. So, we'll see. I like the idea of going to a place like Red Rock and just staying there for a couple of days and relax.

Scumbag central right now. I was there a few months back and holy shit, felt like Compton at 2am. I’m not racist so I feel comfortable saying this, it is 90% black people in Las Vegas right now. That is not typically the case. The people on the strip are not productive members of society. They are looking for problems while pretending to be a star in their own rap video. Once papa joe quits sending checks, things will change very quick.

On another note, I went to book 2 nights in September for a baseball tournament and rooms are starting at $299!!!!

Im sure this will trigger someone but it’s the truth.

Like I said, when Biden money runs out, it will normalize. The cheap places will still have Hood Rats come over as they pool money to get rooms and pile in, smoking joints 24/7. As of next week the ywill have smoking dens legalized and up in nevada to smoke MJ. I doubt it will do a lot to the strip, it is all having fewer idiots wake up. No citations are issued for that, but resprts do kick them out form smoking as it gives them a legit reason aside from being fools. overcrowing is another, fire regulations back them up, very strict. Red Rock is very clean of fools now and a few other locations off strip.

Agreed....fuck that cock gobbler Tyler Hubbard (FGL's Biden Lover) as well... Garth showed his cards when he tried to say it wasn't political.
Garth is a piece of shit. Showed his true colors. I know Toby Keith is a lib Obama supporter but he did not turn down trumps invitation to play even though his celeb buddies may hate him.
He said he’s an American and asked by president to play so he would to me that’s respect

Mannnnn I remember my high school graduation boys trip to Laughlin. I was on a mission. One night drunk AF I walked into losers without a shirt on, asked this hot momma to dance with me. She got up. After one song security came asking for ID, got my as thrown out cause I wasn’t 21. Memories.

I don't think it's just vegas,... in my travels I have found this to be ture... just look for hi rise building...and you will know you in the wrong part of town...I've lived in vegas since 1957, never go to the strip...there's way nicer areas to go... also look at the street sign.... if it says martin luther king... turn around and go the other way... that and streets with just one letter..... like "D" street. or single digit, 2nd street and such...

Vegas will soon figure out a basic socio-economic principal.

People with money do not hang out with those who do not.

And when they finally get rid of the shitty leadership in the state and decide to turn it around all that will be left is the wasteland of a once great tourist state.

Haven't been to Vegas in years, are the "big" casinos toilets too? MGM, Wynn's, Cesar's, Paris Paris- are they ghetto ridden as well? Sure would be not happy to plan a trip there only to be over ran by Raider Nation and the blue and red tennis shoe crowd with hoodies and gold bling. How's Laughlin? just getting by? Harris del Rio still the 20-30 somthing power drinking crowd? I've been out of the loop for so long I even heard all casinos are smoke free, is that true or just a Covid rumor? Matter of fact, last time I was in Laughlin, the Colorado Belle was still open o_O

You can smoke at most casinos and Colorado Belle is permanently closed. The new cashless casino that just opened in Vegas is smoking free. Resorts World.

Just stayed at MGM in May as everything was just opening. They weren’t mask Nazi’s but it is showing it’s age. Mandalay for us from now on.

I stayed there once. The room felt like a small apartment in a walkup in New York. And a $15 charge to park to boot!

MGM dicked around on their rewards system a few years ago and I quit going there....ceasars rewards is a lot better...as well as their casino hosts... Funny thing was my Caesars host hooked me up with Deontay Wilder (im a big boxing/mma fan) tickets a couple years ago for a fight at MGM...my host at MGM never did anything like that.

I only tried it because I knew I would be drinking. It was the very last Rush tour. I wouldn’t stay again I don’t think. I never pay for rooms at Sunset but that’s no good if you want to drink on the strip.

We have plans to go in early October to an RV park in the NW part of Vegas that has a shooting range on site. I have been looking forward to it, but the wife is having second thoughts after talking to a few friends that have been in Vegas recently. We like to hit the strip for a few nights to eat and gamble a little.
go, the rv park at the clark county shooting complex is awsome and way away from the getto

Stay at Green Valley Ranch, very nice, clean, security is all around, great area as well. Short drive up the 215 to the arenas very easy vs staying in the mess....

Went to my share in the late 60's - 70's, but the two very best were --- Elton John at Dodger Stadium in 75' and Ray Charles at the Anaheim Melodyland Theatre in 68'.
Both amazing entertainers, yet their shows were totally opposite in nature.
One thing that made the Ray Charles concert so special 53 years ago, my date for the evening was my mom.

I saw Elton John and Billy Joel at the pond. Got some tickets from Uncle Joe Benson. Seats were up and behind the stage. Pretty cool watching those two go at the pianos that close and above.

Still pissed our idiot governor lost it last year. .. disclaimer. Haven't been sinse covid. Maybe someone can chime in as this is my plan this year again
