Had the pleasure of Mike Avila in Discovery Bay last week. What a great guy. He hooked my kids up with a bunch of shirts and hats and offered to take my girls our for a ski ride next time we are up there. Wish him the best of luck tomorrow!

Here is the info you will need to watch:

Option 1 - Goto Facebook Catalina Ski Race page, "Like" the page, "Follow" the page to get notifications when LIVE video is being broadcast.

Option 2 - Goto the CSR website, www.catalinaskirace.net/live/

If all goes well you should get some coverage of the turn and the finish and possibly some footage in between.

Thank you for doing this. As a participant in the race for many years (always inside the boat, the skiers have the hard job), I miss being there at the event. With the livestream it helps to still have a connection to the race.

Yes, I was changing Mason all the way to the island and then caught him about half way back then had to dig DEEP to get some them. It was a great race, great battle. That kid can fricken ski! Congrats to them!
We ended up 4th overall

Yes, appreciate the effort. The technical challenges must be tough.

A big part of the challenge is that the port has a lot of traffic over the airways so being able to hold on to the signal can be tricky, also boat traffic there can be an issue. The boat the crew was on got caught in the trough of wakes between two big cruisers that went by and the computer fell off the table onto the floor, had to be rebooted to get everything back online.
