Have an opportunity to pick up this lift, has to be tomorrow I think. What say the RDP Experts? I don’t know anything about the brand. ALM 7001a $750-1000?

As others have pointed out, weight rating is an issue. If it were a secondary lift, for hobby cars, like rally or drag cars, it would be fine. If you really only have one place for a lift, I'd hold out for a higher capacity. If you could only have one, get one that can lift your tow rig and hobby car.

It's a 20 year old lift...with a low capacity. You still have to get it torn down, then set up. No..just no. If its free maybe...otherwise you can get a decent deal on a two post new...

For reference I just a new Bend pak 10k for 3800.00 They are not as cheap as they used to be. Taking them down and moving them is not that big of deal. Depends on what you are going to use it for. I have a few. Picking up long heavy trucks on a two post is a little sketchy anyhow.

That's an expensive lift, even if it's free. Low weight capacity and I would put in footings for any 2 post lift install.

If you have access to a forklift and can transport it easily, and it meets the weight requirements for what you want to do, under a grand is not a bad deal. All depends on your intended use. They are not hard to install assuming you have the proper footings/ base to mount it. If not, it will get expensive fast.
