Enjoy your day out there. And please give us a report on where you launch and how it worked out.

Any water left? I’d like to go one last time before it’s a mud puddle.

Plenty of water. Ramp situation is the only downside if it gets busy. Beaches have been really good.

Quiet you...

Steve has been trying to convince everyone it's nothing but doom and gloom all summer!

You trying to undo all his hard work?? WTF!

😁
The ramp is irritating though. Dock is right on the edge of the mat, people tie up and it just makes it way harder getting big boats on and off the trailer.

Then sitting waiting for all the noobs to take 20 plus minutes launching wave runners.

Even mid week? Or is it just on the weekends?

Calville island is awesome be sure to check it out. If you launch out of Calville it’s on the right as you leave Calville. Or on the left coming from hemmingway.

I was just looking at new transit xlt on Ford.com and I was wondering how it tows. I can’t find tow capacity but if you towed your new boat with it I’
pretty unbelievable,.. i've tow'd 10k with it,.. i think it's rated to 9800??? it never labors,...the 10 speed keeps it in the power range.... smooth and quiet

thats the one I’m looking at. Thinking of custom ordering one. We have outgrown our Yukon XL and this is the only thing bigger I can find.

Due to the low water....how much are you asking for the boat? Since there won't be a boat to tow...how much for the van?

Copy that. Hopefully ol 2FF will share some boating pics with us.

Lord knows this place sure could use some actual boating content! [emoji106]
We leave tomorrow morning to MEAD and we're staying at the Hoover dam Lodge so I'll post some pictures from my trip at least LOL

Crazy how things work out sometimes, sold my boat March 2020 before what i was expecting to be a busy season (the last season before actually listing it for sale). With the current conditions of ramps I wouldn't even bother, sure I can launch at 4 am to beat the crowd but coming back on a weekend would be horrible. I've seen Hemenway lined up for what would be hours waiting to retrieve. Boulder Harbor launch ramp is now a pond and I walk my dogs across the cut where a year ago this month was 9ft deep and 30ft across.

BUT, each time I head down there on weekends barely see any water traffic. Monday labor day weekend was hardly anything out cruising in the lower basin. Now would be perfect to have a slip and just enjoy all the beaches and coves without much of anyone esle.

Not to hijack thread, just got me thinking with all the questions about the conditions

Have fun out there Steve!

@LB247XS what kind of boat? What’s days you going to be here? If you are boating more then one day I would suggest to keep it in the water if it’s for the weekend.
I never keep my boat in the water. But I know a lot of you guys do. They have courtesy docks. First come first serve. If you don’t want to leave it. Make sure to drop someone off at the ramp a couple hours before you are ready to leave the lake each day and then go out and boat while they wait.
1 lane at both ramps with a bunch of newbies means a long wait.

@LB247XS okay cool. My comment about taken forever to get off the water on Sunday still stands. If you get off early afternoon you’ll be good.
I know where the Hoover dam lodge that’s why I didn’t suggest callville which is the one I like to launch from.

@04-24Stealth going from Calville? What day? @PrimeCut is always with a bunch of houseboats at different coves. For the house boat thing he might be your best bet for houseboat info.
If you are taken the boat in your avatar there’s tons of shit to see. The dam is lame. Not worth it.
wishing well
Narrows
Virgin basin
Hallet beach
Gator
Swallow cove
Calville island is fun
Little sandy is fun

We’re on the lake from the 4th to the 10th. Yes taking my boat 24 stealth with a 496ho. Hoping my buddy brings his 33’ cc with trip 350s. I’ve seen enough on here to think an all day run to temple bar area would be fun.

You mention prime cut and houseboats... meat delivery service?

Spent time offshore in my boat and on pleasant in 3-4’ wind waves so not too worries about the weather. Just looking to make the most of my time there.

Any numbers for the above areas? Did a quick google search didn’t see any of them pop up.

@04-24Stealth prime cut is a member here. He has a red eagle and hangs out with people with house boats and maybe has one as well?
Temple is a cool run. But I think hallet beach would be better then going to temple.

Watch the wind and waves. Lake mead gets nasty fast!
The places I mentions are all places to check out.
Pm me your number and I’ll drop you pins if you’d like so you can look for them.
@LB247XS same for you aswell unless you know mead.

@LB247XS the lake isn’t what it once was tho. Last time I was out I was so bored. I like to hang out at the beach and talk boats. Only saw about 4 other boats like ours and only 1 guy had kind of an idea what he had. The others not so much. I saw 3 halletts on my way back to the ramp going thru the narrows assuming to hallet beach. Started the day with a full tank. By the time I saw them only had 1/4 so I was heading back as I didn’t want to end up on the rope.
