I was at West Marine and they offered me their towing service for a discount.
Not sure how long it's good for
I already have towing with Progressive insurance but $60 is a steal for a year and subscription to their magazine.
I used Boat US once and they were hooked up to my boat in 30 minutes and literally put my boat on the trailer.
You need to go through West marine web site to get the deal

Am I missing something? That link says $85? Then it takes you to the BoatUS site that is $90.

Have towing through Nikki Bostick insurance now, but previously I had boatUS in TX. There it was a reimbursement but I always got a check in about a week as they didn't have a direct servicer on lake travis. Easy process, no nonsense deal. Would do it again no question.

Towing while on Lake Havasu - I can't think of any tow I've provided that I wouldn't do again. And yes. I've also been towed by friends. But, one of the most worthy and least expensive costs of owning a boat is Tow Boat US.

I am pretty sure I have towing with my insurance but I was thinking about getting this for my Dad's boat since I take it out once in a while. Does the towing follow the boat or the purchaser (like AAA)?

West marine offered that for 1 weekend 2 weeks ago or so I believe. I know a couple people that got that rate, but it was in store thru the manager.

Just curious did you own both of the boats? I know with AAA you could be a passenger in the vehicle and still use the towing service (insurance).
only one of them...also as @Desert Whaler said its included with geico and I had them on our ski boat in HI, and then the cruiser in TX which came in handy when I lost an engine.

Crazy not to get this as a boat owner. I used it once last year and my son used it once. We were told they would have been around $800 tows each time. Why take the chance on your insurance policy in case it doesn’t cover it or all of it and why pay the money up front and wait to get reimbursed?????

even with coverage the lake has to have either a BoatUS tow boat or a contracted firm. If its the later you pay it then get your money back within a week or so.

I had 2 boats and they said it applies to all boats in my name. I didn't have to buy another policy

On their website it says that it applies to boats you own, borrow or rent. 👍

Even if its $120/yr or $10/month it's still worth it. They provide service off the water as well. Getting towed from a stranger is nice but I'd prefer to use a towing service, with my membership. Towing service has experience, insurance, and correct equipment. A stranger will have their boat, ski rope, little to no experience, and who pays for damages that occurred from the tow? Not to mention someone burdened their day with the towing thing.

Is TowBoat US the best option for Havasu?

I couldn’t find anything better for the upper and lower Colorado basin.

And @185EZ thanks for the reminder. This is the insurance version of the Costco hot dog+soda when it comes to boating costs. Just a great deal even if you have tow coverage as part of your boat insurance. Saved me a $1200 bill the first year I had it. Victim of a catastrophic leaf spring failure. They ordered a semi truck tilt-flatbed to take the boat AND truck all the way home. Had paid $78 for the coverage a few months earlier.
