We also feed the chickens and weasels with the leftovers. This is the only place I see weasels on the island.

I booked these flights back in February on Hawaiian Airlines for $700 round trip for two tickets. They’ve doubled or more now so I got lucky.

Nice place. I will be sure to honk on our way to Wailea. We had such a low budget hotel in Hana that they could not even afford to have a TV in the room. LOL

Yes, Maui does have TSA lines. But the regular lines are LONG!!!! Just read a story on local business news that from 10am-2pm the lines are extremely long. We saw that when we flew in on Monday.

One of my old realtor clients moved from Corona and opened Ohana in Kihei. We stopped in there a few years ago and the food was pretty good.

The Gazebo was my favorite breakfast spot though.

Sugar Beach Resort?

Sugar Beach is where I go, I love it. I think he's down a little bit. I really like Kihei with the breezy weather. When it's hot in Maui there's nothing better than a nice breeze. Hit the beaches during the day come back to happy hour and hit the pool. Good times

We finally booked our Hawaii tickets 2 weeks ago for Thanksgiving week. Everything was 1600 each (nothing like 5k in airline tickets - SD/LAX to Honolulu for a family of 3). Two weeks ago Southwest opened up some cheaper flights from SD, paid 1600 for 3. Dislike Southwest for long flights, but the savings was too much to say no to.

Went to Hana today. We’ve done it every time we come to the island. Decided to go the full circle today and go home the long way through the dirt roads with a mustang convertible.

Weather was perfect.

Did the road to Hana and stayed overnight. Continued the rest of the way despite the warnings in the guide book. The roads here in Hesperia were far worse than anything we encountered there. Wife and I were laughing as we rounded the bend back to fully paved roads.

So we went the long way and you end up driving on the dry side of the island. Looks like you’re in the desert. It’s beautiful in its own way. The locals there don’t really like mainlanders. They either slow down when they’re in front of you on the road or they get pissed at you because you’re not driving fast enough. That’s always been my experience with them lol.

There’s also wild goats all over that side of the island. You have to be careful driving because they cross the road and don’t give a shit about cars. Fucking animals .
