So unfortunate. Any idea of the cause
No idea, judging by the photo I would say it was a standard sinking not crash related, it was close to shore and not all the way under. Hopefully nothing major.

Hopefully they just forgot the plugs or something stupid. Flush out the motors and run it tomorrow
Do the newer ones come with automatic bilge’s? They some on a lot of production boats not sure why they don’t seem to come on a lot of performance boats.

They should have them.

One of my biggest fears. I have a mental check list and this year worked with our son to recall it all. Can’t wait to get back to test him. Been also nice in the last 3 times I have not even sat in the drivers seat.

Mine has a auto bilge. Maybe it couldn’t keep up? I don’t know what happened it was just wishful thinking. The owner has to be devastated if it’s the boat I’m thinking of that thing is beautiful.

I saw one pic on FB and it was close to shore with the nose partially up, but not like totally sunk. To many boats blocking the view to tell what was happening, sure hope it was just partially filled and will be okay.

It’s a bizarre picture, something looks off.

That’s why we’ve always mandated the largest highest volume bilge pumps we can find with large dumps in all our boats. And at least two of them in the engine bilge.

But for these larger boats they should consider like two at the stern on a water witch switch and two more on a manual switch like one bulkhead up.

That’s an odd pic for sure. Maybe cracked transom..I was with a buddy once at Elsinore with an advantage banshee outboard, we stopped in the middle of the lake and down we went ass first. That lake was not deep at the time and we stuck in the mud. His girlfriend panicked and worked her way up to the pickle and flopped into the water. Transom Split wide open.

A shame about losing a boat, always gut wrenching to see.

I know someone will say cup holders, but what is that?

I heard they forgot to put the plugs in. Boat was back on the water yesterday at pirates for the regatta.
The picture posted above was the boat sitting at the Springs earlier in the day.

Looking at the drives i can see why.
Lots of stern weight
