Motorcraft filter quality is great and yes bypass is the correct setting for the motor. Mainly Like LOF mentioned above, turbos are hard on oil....
This TSB was for the gen 2 3.5. So 17 and up. The gen 1's had some issues as well. Regular 5k max oil changes are supposed to help.
Cam Phaser TSB. They have had a few updates. Supposedly the newest version actually remedies the cold soak bleed off.
Yeah TBI. Threw the carb style air cleaner on it with a magnaflow exhaust no cat. Just those bolt ons helped quite a bit.
