I started on the entry way gate to my property. I’m doing a cantilever sliding gate, block posts, and it needed a retaining wall also. I’ve never done block work, so it’ll be a slow process. I really need to get the fencing and the driveway in, so this was required to do first.
New helmet might help if it’s an old generic one. The new tech is amazingly clear. I’ve also started using a pair of 1.5 magnifier spectacles. Getting old sucks
Nope. We had a gopher snake hanging out on the patio on Sunday. I don’t even kill the rattle snakes anymore. There’s a local guy that comes and takes them away for free. He relocates them. If he isn’t available, then its dead.
Im in murrieta and did feel anything. I was using a jackhammer, so that may be why? 😜 I felt my phone vibrate and saw the alert. I figured it was time for a water break and immediately looked on RDP for the scoop!
People have tried to do similar where I live and it’s not close to the value of Malibu. The most recent was a Mexican guy bought 7.5 acres at auction down the road from me and started to build a ranch on it. He had workers living in tuff sheds with generators and starlink. He‘d show up on...
Volleyball games tomorrow, then a fundraiser Bingo game in the evening with a Costco and Lowe’s run in between. Sunday- continue digging gate footings and maybe get rebar and electrical conduit started.
I’m 6’4ish and have zero issues. We have it in one of the 2 kitchen islands and it puts it right in the middle of the action of the kitchen but out if sight from the living room and main entertainment area.
We went with the Frigidaire Professional single door fridge and freezer. It’s a built in type of fridge. My only complaint is that there isn’t a water dispenser inside the fridge. A Britta deal fixed that. Look at a microwave drawer. It cleans up the range area and keeps the microwave out of...
IMO, I wouldn’t use DG with a slope. First, it needs to be graded to properly to shed water. If it was a long term permanent driveway, I would lay down a bigger crushed 1“ plus gravel. Then I’d do a minimum 4” of class 2 road base over that. All of it needs mechanical compaction. That is how my...
It’s how you have to approach it. First, thank God it wasn’t an actual event. Second, how can we get better. It was as real as it gets without being a catastrophe.
I was there. Dont look at it as a waste of resources. It was a good training opportunity in something that we dont train in nearly enough and to do it with our neighboring agencies. As a crew, we did an informal after action review and we all had take aways. Thankfully, it wasn’t a real attack...
The worst launch we had as kids was the rocket that landed in the center divider of the 118 freeway. We rode our bikes over to the elementary school and launched a D rocket on the field. We thought we were good, thankfully, it didnt end up on the actual freeway. My buddy asked his sister if...
We tried to aim it into the wind the second launch and we moved the launcher about 100’ and it went further than it did on the previous launch. It was over an 1/8 to a 1/4 mile away 😂 It must of caught some upper atmosphere winds.
The kids are devising a “tool” to perform a rescue mission on...
We just launched my daughter’s model rocket for the first time yesterday. I got her a kit off of Amazon that had 2 rockets that she had to build, along with the launcher and platform. Shes really into space stuff and rockets. She’s been to Vandenburg several times to watch the rockets launch at...
This is my parents car, both in their early 70’s. I will probably end up with one too sooner than later after having driven it. Ive been wanting to build something but why after driving this one for a bit. My wife is the one really pushing it. We had their C7 for 6 months while they were moving...
