Yep, back to windy Friday afternoon/eve. Double anchor night.
Not sure if this well protected spot in Middle Rock Creek is accessible at current water level but it's a good one. I rarely tie up bow in, but did in that spot.
We're headed back for Memorial also. Will flag you down if we see you. Don't know where we'll be until we find it. Beaches are mucky, wet and full of sticks with water down now. Not going to stop us.
We have a couple solar lights that color change and found that red seemed to attract fewer bugs. Curious if you'll notice the same with your red cabin lights.
A Porta Potty of some sort is required. They used to check randomly at ramp and roll up on our beach camps to check when we all had small boats. That stopped when there'd be a cabin cruiser or house boat in the mix. We haven't been checked last 2 summers at all but go farther up and away from...
Interesting. We had a 13yr hiatus from Powell and started back up 2yrs ago. Before our break they'd check for porta potties if overnighting and in early 2000's sound checks. I never got checked even with an 871 sticking through hatch surging through wakeless zone. Clamp on mufflers clearly...
20+yrs ago we drove the truck right to the water in back of Warm Creek. All closed to that now. Double edged sword. Hate that its closed but now that there's a SXS under every rock, you know how it would be.
Ive not seen or heard of anyone getting inspected on way in. Only on way out. Sometimes there's a line of wake boats waiting at the dunk tank. Other times tank isn't open and people appear to be leaving with only the typical visual inspection. I've also never heard of anyone being hassled over...
Snowpack is 68.8% of average for 4/20. Don't know what it was last year but was definitely more. Lake will basically be 10' lower as last 2 summers depending when you are there.
Late August, September are best months. Cooling off but water is still warm. 4th of July gets pretty busy. Camp spots and bays you'll go to with the rental HB's will be crowded. Expect a storm at least 1 day of your stay July through early August. Part of the deal. Same as you probably had...
Awesome work! I had a '90 311. 540"s and Bravos. Loved that boat. Spent most of its time I had it on Powell. The answer to your post about fuel consumption lies within you. My motors were both within a few Hp of each other at 630hp. I could run all weekend on 1 tank just cruising. Start...
