What’s really shitty is it’s normally family doing this to family that tries to help. Making deals or hiring family is NEVER good.

IMO the easiest way to screw up a good tri tip is slicing it wrong. Slice it across the grain of the meat. Most of the time you have to cut it into 2 pieces to keep the cross grain slices. Nothing worse than having a nicely cook and seasoned piece of meat and it gets sliced wrong.
