yes was looking at the water jacket pattern on deck this morning
there was mention of 0.600" thick deck height , 0.300" cylinder thickness @ 4.6" bore
5 billet caps, with 3 centre main caps splayed
maximum bore x stroke: 4.6x4.5"
simeese bore like Gen VI 502
Barry thanks for update on the heads,
Not much noise about the engine blocks
would of thought someone-somewhere would of grabbed one of the aluminium engine blocks and assembled something
There are few things of regretted buying over the years, and still have the picture of the Donovan 500 10.2"...
Sorry to here of your problems with heads
Were the heads purchased assembled and ready to go or did you purchased the heads bare and put your own gear in them

So measure the largest part of shaft where oil...
I’m sure stern power drives use same prop spline as 19 spline Arneson and ssm3 drive whether they be 4” or 6” hub
I have pair (L&R) 3 blade bronze 16.5”x22” if your interested

Yes I think I got a little carried away
Used to offshore ski-race 30 yrs ago with 2 stroke Johnson V8 ( last 2 pics) now having heart transplant with 502-540 ci, twin turbo, crash gearbox, parallel drive to Arneson
Redone transom, stringers, made hatch, raised cap of hull so hatch sinks into...
My boat is not factory made it was laid up as one off
So had no reference points
All the reading I done suggested the bottom tabs needed to be raised to protect any potential drag the tab could have if slightly lower mounted on transom
Due to contour of transom, had to cut down the transom...
