OMG I know how you feel.. We made several rides from CA to AZ just to look at houses then turn around and go home... I thought our realtor was going to strangle us.. We looked at so many homes. But yes as soon as we stood on that lot, our lot it was a YES this is it moment.... Plus our daughter...
I really do not know the area all that good.. We started by looking on Realtor.com for a home then we started to look for lands in the areas of the homes we liked.. Once we picked out a few lots we drove into Havasu for the day and walked all the lots with a note pad and drove around the...
The hubby is doing pretty darn good considering.... Cant wait to see the house go up. I will try to post some progress pics once we get started.. Now we need to come up with a house design..
Thanks for all the Pros and Cons.. HA HA HA we will be coming from CA so they all drive like crap out here.. For my husbands medical we will drive into CA where his doctors are.. I am still researching top notch cancer centers closer to us. But this at least gives us an excuse to stop and see...
Just wanted to give an update. With all the back and forth on the "pie lot" we decided to kick that one to the curb for good.. The owner has too many issues and since that last buyers pulled out he has raised the price.. He can keep it... I wish a lot had opened up on the water, but I guess that...
When we were looking at it last time right before we decided to make an offer it was pulled off the market and we were told something about the tax issue and he was fighting it in court.. I don't know the outcome, but then we saw it back on the market. Maybe it is a good thing we didn't get it..
Just an update. We lot the lot again. Someone put and offer before we could.. We thought we were doing the right thing by doing our homework on the lot before putting the offer in and that bit us in the rear.. Back to the grind.....
Does it count that we camped at Needles Mariana in CA??? Hopefully that will keep us off the radar and him off our ass.. he he he
I totally understand your wife... I bet it will be hard coming from a city where you have anything you could want at a 10-15 minute drive with many options..
City...
Yeah the crazies are out for sure... We have been spending our quarantine at the river.. No difference the 2 of us in our house or our motorhome and I work from the coach so we go up on the weekdays..
The first lot, the person pulled it off the market and we were told by another builder the land would need deep pockets to build a home on. We have not seen another lot come up for sale since.
HA HA HA HA you sound just like us... We both love to cook so the kitchen is the first thing we look at in a home.. On the weekends we love sitting on the beach and watching the senanagins on the water. Then on Monday or Tuesday after they leave we go play on the water... My husband just got...
Sorry I did not see this.. We are still looking. We looked at a few homes in Havasu and they were very nice, but every time we went right back to living on the water. We are still looking for a lot of land to build.. We looked at a few of the homes for sale on the water, but none of them had a...
Monkeyswrench. Thank you so much for all that.. Some of the new manufactured homes we have looked at are very nice.. Their quality has come up over the years for sure.. The ones we have seen are using 2X6 boards, dual panned windows and we were thinking of adding extra insulation.. We have...
Question... We are now debating buying a manufactured home and putting it on our lot.. Any thoughts on that one way or the other... I know they are less expensive than building a home, but what about the quality? The efficiency with the heat and cold? What about the upkeep? And resale value...
