Nice. I have a '71 Sanger with a 429 Cobra motor. Block is bad but similar issues also. Here I thought they made a few with "385" series engines but looks to be the norm. Rebuilding the Ford nice bit of nostalgia.
What you have is a Caribbean model. The v-box looks to be a Halibrand top loader. Most of these models had a crown cap between the engine bay and cock pit. Cool thing is you have working plates. You can get a hold of Bergeron in Phoenix,Az. he knows a lot about Beismeyer Boats. I cant tell if...
X2 I bought one of DiMarco's shaft seals after rebuilding the stock one at least 6 times. Best one for the money. 2 pumps from the grease gun and no water drips. Have 80 hours on it and no issues. Next rudder box.
I have a set of ZZ3 heads w/ raised exhaust ports. Center bolt valve covers. roller cam complete( lifters, push rods, plates, spider and cam thrust plate)with all attaching hardware. Aluminum intake (GMPP) w/ carb. All of the parts came out of a ZZ-3 crate motor. If still interested call me @...
While facing the pump, your inlet from collector hose pickup should be installed according to engine rotation. I.E. if your motor rotates right you need to hook up the pump on left side. It should be where the water is pulled through, if not you are turning the pump to "exit " the water. Picture...
I was on the sandbar when you went by. Enough said.
I am glad you and your friend are alright. I hope in the future you and your passenger(s) are wearing life jackets. Your a very lucky person to have only been lightly bruised and your friend only sustained minor breaks.
Please "keep in...
Got the motor and steering done. Steering took better part of the day. Exhaust had to be reworked. Only things left are the prop shaft and checklist items before firing up. Hopefully today.
Nice. I like the way your bracket is set up on the gear box. A little dirty but nothing a little elbow grease cant cure. I take it this is your Glenwood Hot Rod.
Did you build it yourself? They are quite the boat when set up. Is the perfect time to "get er done". If need any parts let me know, might be able to help.
Got the gel coat done on the patched areas. Bolted in the rails and stiffeners, installed the prop shaft and positioned the Log. Will be drilling holes tomorrow. I just need to know what to seal it with to the floor. Was thinking of 3M boat sealant 5260.
Drill hole in floor for water pickup to...
Thanks guys. I got the stringer stiffeners bolted in, tomorrow hopefully I will get the gel coat done. I want to use Bed Armor in the engine area so when it is wet I wont flip over board (LOL).

T.Y. I was eating dinner and running back and forth while downloading pix. Kinda like driving and texting. ;-)
The boat, it is a gas keeps me busy and great conversational piece.
