Most spectacular natural phenomenon I’ve ever seen! We drove 1,000 miles to Poplar Bluff, MO. Perfect cloudless sky, went to the football stadium, maybe 10,000 people, great soundtrack, Enter Sandman, Ring of Fire, Walking on the Sun, etc. Food trucks, we brought booze, whole family road...
When we lived in Hong Kong, there was a mid 60s green Mustang parked in our garage with the steering wheel on the “wrong side.” Must have been imported from Australia or the UK.
Will never forget that image, vintage American iron with right hand steering. Got a picture of it somewhere.
Big fan of the CT scan here. No reason why people should suffer heart related illness from clogged arteries when this low cost scan is available. If you have a blockage, treatments are available before the plane hits the side of the mountain.
And, of course, we all know the easiest way to a...
OK, granted, we’ve got a couple of tunnels (so I guess we are going to split hairs here), but the Colorado River, for which most here are concerned, starts at Shadow Mountain Reservoir, below Grand Lake. Most people consider that to be the Colorado River HEADWATERS, and that water most...
and while you’re up there, you have to go see Doc Holiday’s grave. Always amusing the stuff people leave, liquor bottles, beer bottles, porn magazines, etc. Quite the shrine to a very colorful character!
Sharky, good call on the Buckhorn Exchange. Forgot about that one.
I’ll add one more to Denver, my wife’s favorite, My Brothers Bar. Classic old saloon with great sammiches and burgers. Get the JCB, Jalapeño Cheese Burger.
. . . and a few more
Denver. Take a stroll down the 16th street mall. A bunch of bars and restaurants.
Boulder area.
- Dark Horse Saloon, very old bar with a bunch of cool memorabilia and great burgers.
- The Sink, a dump restaurant, Robert Redford used to wash dishes there, been there...
1). Beau Jo’s pizza, Idaho Springs. The original. It’s about a 40 minute drive from your house. Cool little mountain town, your wife will dig the shopping.
2). Estes Park, another cool little mountain town. Home of the Stanley Hotel (The Shining).
3). Colorado Springs area. The Broadmore...
Great day at the Ravine today. Place was rocking and a flyover with F-15s and a C130 tanker. My ticket partner is an Air Force Academy pilot who knew what was coming.
Go Dodgers!
Oh and BTW, we also saw one of those crotch rocketeers splayed out on the side of one of the canyon roads on this trip, ambulances on scene. Must be an every day occurrence up there😳
Took a sightseeing drive in the Malibu canyons yesterday. Going up the steep twisty part of Las Flores Canyon Road, minding my own business and encountered 8 dudes skateboarding down the road, full tuck, in the middle of the day, with traffic. Never seen that before.
I think it’s nuts seeing...
Well, it was just rhetorical!
Geez guys, now that’s just plain mean😀
Good memory. That, and an old M6.
///M Power baby!
Come to think about it, during my son’s life, I’ve always had a BMW. Not exactly been a “turn signal role model.”😂
In the car today with my smart ass kid. I used the blinker for a turn and he gave me a very loud round of applause. Apparently my turn signals don’t get much use, at least per him.
Guess what brand of car I drive?
Surprised the shareholders haven’t broomed that whole Board. Calhoun has been on the Board since 2009, he needs to go, he is part of the problem. The Board and senior management need a thorough housecleaning, and the shareholders just have to expect increased costs in the near term as quality...
