I have a set of the VW rubber mud floor mats for a 2010 Jetta. Never used them, still in factory packaging. Free to anyone who picks them up (West Garden Grove near 22/405 merge) or you pay shipping.
I would not bother with 6" jack plates on that hull. Won't make any real difference. Probably needs about 24" of setback for that set up to start noticing. Land & Sea used to make one but since they are no longer in business I don't know where you would find one. I think most boat manufacturers...
If you decide you want a back up set or anyone else on the boards has a Jetta and wants them, they were never used, still in the factory packaging, just need to pick them up near where the 22 merges with the 405.
The wing is basically a swamp guard. This boat doesn't have much free board so when sitting or at idle waves can roll over the rear of the boat and swamp it even sink it. The guard is designed to help stop that.
No. Each ballast tank has it's own bilge pump plumbed to thru hull fittings on the side of the boat. The forward tank is plumbed to the driver side of the boat and the mid tank is plumbed to the observer side of the boat. You can see the three fittings on the driver side in the below photo. One...
The fill is fed by a pick up that you manually engage so the faster you're going the faster it fills. The ballast dumps with a bilge pump and takes about 30 to 40 seconds to empty.
The hull is a Force F21. In that photo we are running mid 70's. First straight we hit 82. The boat has more in it but we haven't needed it yet. The prop shaft is 3 1/2" below the pad, everyone with a F21/300R combo in Australia is running the prop shaft 2" below the pad. Problem is the jack...
It will depend on the skier and the class. Some classes are speed limited, 75 MPH, 60 MPH and 45 MPH. So, a skier limited to 45 MPH will complete the lap in just under 7 minutes. The fastest skiers will do a lap in under 4 minutes.
The race times are a bit different, but this is pretty much the way the races will be run this weekend. They have added a Grassroots and 45 MPH race that is 10 minutes or 2 laps.
I've had a bed rug in my truck for 20 years and it still looks great. I also have a snug top shell on it and I'm sure that has helped keep it looking great. The cost was around $ 350.00 20 years ago so they haven't gone up much in price.
Gary Steele was the first to run a Vector in ski racing. His was rigged with a SSM3 drive and did not turn well. Great marathon boat, poor circle race boat. I think they added a skeg to the keel to solve the turning issue. Mike Avila would know more, he skied behind it. Most of the ski race...
