That's our favorite area, much quieter than Cal City but not sure how busy on Turkey day. We go to Havasu for the great weather!
We have camped at Spangler by the tracks but a bit too crowded for my taste. We prefer Stevens Mine Road. Lots of good open terrain in that area.

If you are new to outboards then you are probably new to ModVP. Have you had other fast boats? That Baker is a very fun hull. Safer at speed than a pad vee but still needs to be driven right. You won't find many 20' hulls that will out run it. Get the boat and fix all of the little things...
That will probably cost about as much he is paying for the boat. I suspect it will need a few other things first. Not sure why everybody hates that injection. Mine ran great for over 15 years in every condition. Most trouble free motor I've owned.
Yep I had that same setup for many years. Baker RST is a light hull, fun to drive and responds to trim well. I had great luck with the 220 EFI with zero problems. It's a standard 200 2.4 Merc with analog fuel injection. Very simple and reliable. Of course you should do a compression check as...
