I have been working on my ‘66 Mustang ever since a gust of wind flipped my buddies EZUP onto the roof and hood of my Mustang at a car show at the AVI. Insurance covered it but I figured might as well get a Shelby fiberless hood. Then I decided to put a new front suspension on it and a new motor 5.0 H.O and switch it from a four speed to a five speed. It has been almost five years and it is almost done. I have some wiring to finish up. Oh yeah I added A/C also.

Sweet ride and a classic that will continue to appreciate, scoop is cool but don't mess with any other metal. I see too many of these that have half-assed flares to fit wide tires.

My first car, 1982!

Update: I finally got it color sanded and professionally buffed out. I went to a car show and won “best paint” award

Car looks great!
I have been looking for a 1st generation Mustang or Camaro for approximately 5 months. Have been focusing more on Mustang Fastbacks but holy shit everybody wants huge money for a Fastback. The Mustang Coupes are much more available & affordable. If I pick up a Coupe, I’ll want to resto mod it up. Curious what suspension mods you went with? Lots of cool options these days.

your going to pay up for anything good and clean.. just keep looking constantly online..
I just picked up another camaro(for her maybe😅😂🤣) that's got paperwork history for over 30yrs.. i paid up for it but there is no lying when you have paperwork history..

Im tryn to find a clean good stock bore 351c block for my 69 fastback... its been a process of stupid prices for a block that's not been checked out.(magnaflux and had a sonic bore test)
ANYONE KNOW OF A GOOD BLOCK HIT ME UP..

even tried looking into crate motor from the big names and they said nope or maybe in 5/6 months..

Congrats on the Camaro!
Couldn‘t agree more on the paperwork……so many don’t have any documentation regarding body/paint, engine build, etc, & still think their car is a 75k plus car.
Harder & harder to find personal owner builders who are not flipping, on consignment, going to Mecum, Barrett Jackson, Bring a Trailer, or
ebay.
IMO, between Barrett Jackson, Mecum, & COVID the cost to purchase has almost doubled in the last 2 years. Used to be a fun fairly affordable “hobby“ now, it’s all about an investment & making as much $$$$$$ as possible.
Recently talked with an engine builder out of Tucson, Az., Chuck Hawk, regarding a certain 351C build he did for a 70 Fastback I was thinking about buying. His advice, he preferred the Windsor, more parts, could build lower end torque easier & cheaper.

So what’s a 351c that’s out of a 69 that now sits in something else and hasn’t even been turned over since about 1985 worth?
