So got the shafts cut drilled tapped ladida all ready to go back in, waiting on my 3 plug weatherpacks now, as the spade connectors are great but....got the safety switch done but not the trim..... i like my weatherpacks. So I’ll do that Wednesday after i get home from my next trip.

Hopped in the boat to do the neutral safety switch end in the boat, as well vacuum the best i can in the gunnel pod as it’s as open as can be. All i can say is every time i dig deeper into this boat I’m more and more amazed at what i find in the rigging. This boat is 12 years old i can only imagine how much more advanced the rigging from @DCB is now!

So when does it end? All the hardware is allens so i got the four 10/32x.5 machine screws today and well while installing realized the tattle tale switch is right there and has little screws in it. So I’ll get those two in 8/32 tomorrow and see how hard it is to do like the pro’s at DCB to tap the fiberglass for a machine screw. Had two in phillips so already got the plate countersunk so should be quick and easy once i get the screws.

Can kinda see the rear two, i did a red on either side on the rear rail then the amber up the center, just wanted a little something different than i did on the last trailer. Still trying to decide if i want to do green under the trailer facing down. Not out at night nearly enough for the amount of work but we will see.........

Same exact ones from this seller. I’ve now done three trailers including my last one and now this one with lights from him. Super easy to deal with even when I’ve bought certain numbers and different colors etc from him. Like this time i got five amber and two red think he charged me 14$ shipped for them.

Trailer had a decent ripple in the fender, spent about an hour heating and beating the crease, then straight edge and heat and beat. Finally got it were i don’t think anyone will ever see it, wish I’d have taken a before, but oh well. But then spent a few hours on that fender and the 5 bar on driver side. May get to the other side this week while off work.

I should bring mine over for you to modify also 😂😂
Let me know when, I’m always doing something, for myself and or others.
I did while looking at some other stuff see that the F26 Tim at MOM just sold has been modified in the same fashion.

Great looking boat! All the little tweaks your doing really make it stand out even more so! This is so bad ass!

thank you for posting !

Question -
Do your runway lights have a switch on the trailer to turn on /off when needed or are they always on with the running rights? If you have a switch can you post a pic of location.
I figured you tied into the trailer running lights for power

I've been wanting to add runway lights to my trailer for the once a year night run!

it makes total sense since your arm sits in there at a weird angle lol
It’s the bump in the side bolster i think. And already the seat is a little left of center or if push them in a little. But yes it isn’t very comfortable. Feels a lot better however i just may try redoing again and it may look a little goofy into the beauty hole but i think i can go down another 5/8”. Next time you’re headed through stop by, can sit and feel if it makes enough difference if so I’d offer to just swap with your whole plate.
They are super bad ass extremely easy to disassemble and reconfigure, i actually contemplated swapping for the shifter on inside and throttle nearer to the seat as it actually changes that “weird angle”, but fear if someone where to get in the boat for me etc somehow they’d screw that up and I’d be out a drive or a trailer or worse.....

I’ve done them tied directly into the running lights. Looks bad ass going down the road as well, but eliminated the need for a switch.
However i have a few ideas on how I’ll do the switch if i do the green on my trailer facing down. Would be like a fast and furious car just underglow, with also a couple on the ladder facing down as well. It’s just a lot of time running the wires etc when i really don’t use it at night. But would use this style rocker off the 12v power port on the truck into the harness of the 7 way then put the rocker under the top step i think 💭 .....

You talking the bar leds or the little 3/4 ones? The 3/4 ones are what we were discussing, but the bars i actually replaced all 5 about a month ago, got from Jeremy at Shadow Trailers.

The bars, I would love trailer lights but I’ll never have the time to get around to that.

Hey i know a guy who knows a guy.... that seems to always find time to play in the garage and works cheap. I hear you also need to reconfigure your battery boxes and battery locations so you have more room for your family’s family.

So the ECM bracket rubbed the bottom edge of the engine hatch, no clue how this boat had been owned by so many and yet this was just dealt with. It was definitely on my list for this winter! View attachment 950996
I had to remove the ecm and send off for my upcoming project, so i marked it all and then removed that and the bracket. I cut a little under an inch total off the bracket, while still keeping about 1/2” above the hatch lip when it’s closed, incase of a water splash up the rear. Then i filed smoothed then painted it. Seemed pretty simple vs continue to allow the hatch to get scraped up. (can see the blue gel on the transom now, to see what and where. As well the little scuff two inches up on the hatch)
View attachment 950997
Next remove the controls and shorten the throttle handle some. The seats are fairly high containment, and low. So ergonomically it left the upper arm in a weird position to hold the throttle, while keeping hand on the trim button as well.
View attachment 951000

Now that the ecm is back and i got it all reinstalled in the boat, here’s a better photo of the cut, and were it was rubbing. Not the huge deal but next time it’s at Saleen he’ll be touching that up. Hate that at some point along the way removed the graphics under the hatch but idk what can be done about that now.

Ordered a set of the stainless bezels from Extreme, somehow show delivered last week and i still don’t have them 🤬🤦🏼. But stole one of them off the rear for now so i could do my side lights, now i kinda want to do a second set a little way back on the straight part before the step. I see why some of the new builds end up with 20+ of these lights. So we will see as they aren’t cheap. But about an hour worth of work to do the one think i can save a few minutes on the next one for sure tho.

While servicing the boat and cleaning the arrestor i realized you can only take off by removing the seat, or un nut then slide forward then vice grip the studs out. So searched everywhere for stainless but could find so went chrome for now, 6”x 5/16-24 allens looks better and will make way easier next time.

As posted in the 525 service thread, did the sea pump/low pressure fuel pump mod today. Should make future service a breeze.

As i am constantly wowed by the little things in this boat, and to keep that rolling had to pull out my buffer and polish the drain and fill plugs to try and keep it to the specs of @DCB and the Wild talent of @Tony DCB Boats and his guys.

So two things I have learned from this thread thus far:
1) I need a bigger garage so I can work on my own ish
2) I need to drop my boat off with you for trailer lights, throttle control modification, fuel pump mod and other odds and ends.

We talk about all of this on the phone but your craftiness, attention to detail and level of ingenuity is insane. Can't wait to see what else you do.

Huh, that boat looks familiar. I love the new interior. Exactly what I wanted to do. Glad to see you are taking it to the next level. There is your under hatch graphics in case you need it.

Been dealing with Marty and Brittany at Livorsi, got them the color samples to have my gauges done.
Than the wife said “what about white instead of platinum?” More i thought about it the more i liked that idea but not sure so asked for a proof and well with the blue dash and stainless rings i really think that white will pop off beautifully. As well you just don’t see white gauges anymore makes me like it even more.

Well how i wanted them to be exactly, it worked out, one on each side is drilled and tapped into an inner tube, and the rear are drilled and nutted which is also how Extreme does the taillights. (Don’t hate on the long screw, i got new ones today but just got home.
Mr. @RiverDave built me some new rods for my battery boxes today. Will post that tomorrow, going to polish them up. But the FullRiver battery’s are 5/8” taller than the Interstates so when i asked him about a spacer he laughed at me and said get down here let’s do it the right way.
To be continued.........

The stainless bolts from McMaster had the little grooves on them and looked goofy polished. So i used my drill press and a sanding wheel to remove those, which actually made the head a little smaller altogether, so i also removed a little over 1/16 from the face as well just to make it look smaller and more sucked into the filter head. Real happy with that turnout. And realize how awesome those tools in RD’s garage really are.

Got the decal stuck down. Took a while but i kinda dropped the ball for a while, but the little touch i truly think is perfect.

Side markers done, think I’m going to try and wet sand a spot on inside then polish after and see how i turns out. I can’t afford 6000$ jusy for paint at Adrenaline right now or that’d be the plan. Better would be new side steps and ladder but that upped it to almost 8k 😒

Whens that thing headed time get da boost?
I actually attempted to contact them again yesterday and got the same “let me look and see if he’s in his office....... sorry he’s on the other line... at lunch...... out today........” I’m feeling i may have been booted from their plans! Or they legitimately are still just dealing with programming.

So did the silver carbon Isotta Carlotta, and from the start felt i shit the bed on that as the boat has no carbon in the interior, with ordering the new gauges last week i ordered a white Carlotta, just thinking 🤔 hmmmmmm and well got today and I’m happy now!!

Don’t wanna think about what it cost me, but found a brand new M12, to replace the M6 that is in the boat, so awesome how it’s exact footprint.
Started with a single F4 and M6, now two F6’s and an M12! Now i just need some money for the speaker upgrade.

Final proof on the 4 smaller gauges done. Few small things weren’t perfect on the two monster gauges and the trim indicator but should be a go tomorrow.

Got all my plugs and parts to assemble the Deutsch plugs, just praying i can pull it off while still looking like it was done by the pro’s at DCB.
Should look very similar to these but with a candy green needle when completed.

So did the silver carbon Isotta Carlotta, and from the start felt i shit the bed on that as the boat has no carbon in the interior, with ordering the new gauges last week i ordered a white Carlotta, just thinking 🤔 hmmmmmm and well got today and I’m happy now!!
