Last splash down i was 11 and all I probably cared about was riding my bicycle. Now look at things today. 😁

400 mph—>150mph—> 16mph that is impressive. Looked like a soft landing in the water

So we're back to 1960s technology with a water splash down, nice

Yeah well cars still roll on tires and that’s been over 120 years or so. Lol

As a commercial venture I gotta believe this is cheaper than a shuttle type craft?
Plus everything is reusable.

It's surprisingly efficient, the vehicle only has to do one thing instead of two or three. And since it is private industry doing this, overhead is way lower than having half the Atlantic fleet out there.

Maybe with the current landing, but the rest of the systems are far beyond what VonBraun had available. Even with the splashdown, it was close to a given area...not "over there somewhere".

Is it me or do they look like they are having trouble with the door latch?

Oh yeah, Russia can fuck right off, we don't need a taxi service anymore.

Says they are purging insulating gas from the area between outer shell and the pressurized capsule.
