Last splash down i was 11 and all I probably cared about was riding my bicycle. Now look at things today. 😁

400 mph—>150mph—> 16mph that is impressive. Looked like a soft landing in the water

Yeah well cars still roll on tires and that’s been over 120 years or so. Lol

As a commercial venture I gotta believe this is cheaper than a shuttle type craft?
Plus everything is reusable.

It's surprisingly efficient, the vehicle only has to do one thing instead of two or three. And since it is private industry doing this, overhead is way lower than having half the Atlantic fleet out there.

Maybe with the current landing, but the rest of the systems are far beyond what VonBraun had available. Even with the splashdown, it was close to a given area...not "over there somewhere".
