3 or 4 speed console no doubt.
Motor looks 68/69 400 that had A/C by the dipstick. Emissions, and water pump along with the Alternator and brackets point to those years as well. . 2 of the best year 400's imo.
If it can drive 5 feet I bet they get close to the asking price if the rust is minimal as shown in the pics.

Nice thread wheeler... as usual.

There's easily more than $40K in that car.

Since they were just throwing every buzzer and bell at it that are not correct, I'm surprised they didn't add cruise control from a 69'. Could have added another 2 k..lol

Yeah I could see paying 15
Put 60 into it
Then get 50
Some dude with the right video channel and maybe a TV show behind him could make 100k from that car selling it for 50 easy.
TV/internet along with hoarders of every type are killing the opportunity for average enthusiasts.

I'm old school, still subscribe to Hot Rod and Car Craft. The one thing in the magazines or on the websites that drive me nuts are cover subheads that scream "Barn find XXXX".

In this month's CC, they enthuse about a clapped out "FORD COBRA JET COP CAR FOUND IN JUNKYARD!"

Who gives a shit about a 1974 Torino with a stripped 351? It's ridiculous.

There is almost no external diffrence in pontcos fron thst era. You need to look at the casting/ stamping numbers to find out what it is.

Here are two 428 engines that are different in appearance. o_O

He said it runs but the drive shaft needs to be lengthened a couple of inches to be drivable.

He and his brother have a building in town where another 50 or so cars are stored. Hopefully I get an invite to go check 'em out.

We'd love to see the others, post 'em up if you get the tour.

There is a restored 64 in San Diego with an auto and 455 selling for 56k right now. 15 might be a little strong for the condition that car appear to be in. For the right price it would be a cool project.

Just saw the cars owner, Johnny. the car was sold before he could get it off the trailer. Had three people arguing about the car when another came up from behind and offered 14,500.
When I get a chance I'll go take a look at his other cars.

For $15k, it would make great yard art.

I'd sure like to hear the story about engine/tranny swap. ;)
