1971 eliminator v drive info

Hey guys im new here,

I recently purchased a 18ft 1971 eliminator v drive but it's not a flat bottom, actually has a v to the bottom on the boat. was curious if anyone has any info on these boats

cool boat! Looks like someones really spent some time and money on it recently.

Unfortunately I do not have any specifics on that particular hull. I'm sure someone will be around with some info though.

yeah! the guy I bought it from said it was a project boat that he's been working on for years but just lost interest in it, his loss my gain!

My Cousin bought this Eliminator in 69', I believe that's the year. Went from one cousin to another has been a good boat. This one has a bit of a V but not like yours, do you have any pics of the front? The one in my family really has no keel, the boat is flat at the front end, the idea was it would help get the nose up quick as there was a lot pf rocker in the boat. The hull (at least this one) is a handful with some decent power, the boat like to chine walk and get a lot of air.... I never got back in the boat after they put about 700hp in her.

I thought I had some better pics but this is all I got.... The transoms look similar, they may have added that V to keep it in the water.

Here are some more pictures. I’ll grab some better ones tomorrow after work. I bought it with a 650hp big block running race gas . But with it being more of a cruiser for me I sold it and am building a cammed and carbed 5.3 for it

Welcome to RDP! I'm sorry I don't have any other information regarding your boat, but it looks like a great river runner! It looks like the previous owner already did a lot of the hard work, so the rest should be fun for you. Start a build thread so we can follow along with your progress.
