Year: 1975
Built and sold by: Arizona Ski Boats - Julian Pettingill
Make: Biesemeyer
Model: (Race Deck) Super flat bottom
Length: 18
Engine: 460 Blown Alcohol Chevy by Pfaff Racing Engines
Propulsion: Propeller via v-drive
Prop: 806 Menkins (Julian Prop) 11 1/2 X 15 -18 degree
Top speed: Probably about 130
Pros: Intoxicating ride, but can be frightening. Metal flake Billy B. paint gets all the chicks, but I'm married so I don't cash in on that. Fits in a one car garage.
Cons: Needs a priming bottle to start cold, methanol fuel burns at twice the rate of gas and fuel system needs to be completely cleaned after a boating trip.
Overall: Super fun boat that is a lot of work to maintain and use. Outstanding for a quick adrenaline rush, terrible as a family boat (as rigged).
