All original. 4 speed. 258 motor. Interior looks it age but certainly recoverable.
What's it worth?
Would it make a decent first Jeep? Any known problems?

I got my nephew a $100 '72 CJ5, when he turned 14. (He's now 28)
304 and 3 speed.
Already had a Ford 9" rear end, no 3rd member.
Plastic dune buggy seats.
Found a second hand 3.55 pumpkin.
Built a rear drive shaft from a one ton.
He played around with it, but it needs help.
Fast forward to today.
Rebuilt the 2bbl carb. Replaced fuel pump and filter.
Cleaned 40+ years of grunge off the top end.
High performance aluminum paint on factory manifold.
Almost dent free racing blue valve covers.
A few boat sodas and it looks like this:

What's it worth?
Seeing the kid Jeeping?

Priceless.
