You might want to post a picture if you have one and maybe @Gelcoater or @retaocleg might be able to steer you in the right direction most likely an obsolete original item.

Does anyone know what the name of the original yellow gel color was on a 1980 spectra 20’?

Are you at asking out of curiosity or or for historical reference or looking for somebody to do some touch up work? Not being nosy just trying to figure out what you need, I’m sure any quality gelcoat repair guy can match it.

My son has owned the boat for about a year and the previous owner had put a vinyl wrap on the top part of it, I guess covering the fake wood. He started peeing off the wrap because he loves the original look but the bow definitely needs to be touched up. We painted our boat years ago so we thought we might be able to do this project as well. We just thought it would be cool to see if this was the original color or something that was redone

Didn’t they have some sort of labor laws back in those days? Shame they made you lay that super thick ass gel down on those boats that would later just spider like crazy
