Hey all,
Selling my lower river boat as we are moving out of state and I don’t have use for it this time of year.
The bad: Motor seized up last trip and does not run. It died a slow death (3k rpms) and as far as I can tell nothing is broken. The thermostats or poppet valve failed and it over heated. Don’t have time to fix it as we are moving out of state.
The good:
1982 Bahner Long Deck With Mercury XR2 150 motor. Recently replaced all ignition electronics (stator, both ignition boxes, coil packs, plug, wires). Brand new impeller installed two weeks ago. Lower drive oil flushed and filled. Sits on a brand new TH Marine manual Jack plate with 6” of set back. The jack plate is mounted to a fixed TH Marine 4” Standoff bracket. This combo allow the motor to be adjusted a total of 10”. The motor starts and runs but could use a carb tuning. The carbs were rebuilt over the winter.
*Seized motor on its maiden voyage. Nothing is broken, just overheated. No time for it now. Must go*
The transom was fully gutted(rotted out) and replaced This year. Boat has not been in the water since. The fiberglass was repaired and the back of the boat has been painted all white as you will see in the pictures.
I re-rigged the entire bilge area with A small subfloor to mount two batteries in composite boxes and wired in a Perko switch. It also has a brand new Mercury factory trim pump (new style) and trim pump wire harness with trim button mounted to the steering wheel. I had new hydraulic line made two weeks ago so the whole assembly is brand new.
Other new items: Hot foot foot throttle, brand new shift and throttle cables, new billet locking shift lever, new billet steering wheel, new automatic bilge pump(also on manual switch) Boat also has IMCO aluminum fuel tanks (26 gallons total) and all new fuel lines with new anti-siphon valves from IMCO. I also have 4 brand new Hardin Marine pop up mushroom “cleats” in the package not installed.
Will come with two props (1-3 blade& 1-4 blade )
The trailer is cosmetically rough but solid. I rebuilt all four hubs with new bearings and races last year and it only has about 300 miles on it since. It will need some trailer bunks and carpet and some new marker lights. Trailer does not have brakes (originally built this way).
Boat has original gel and newer upholstery. Gel is in good shape for a 30 year old boat. I buffed it out last year and it looks pretty good. I also have a newer boat cover for it.
I have spent the better part of a year basically repairing/ replacing everything possible on the boat.
