You DO realize that when you stop posting updates, a lot of us are going to be disappointed. 😉

PPF at the spot that gets messed up the most imo.

not sure if someone has mentioned this but get yourself a set of mud flaps for your truck, specially with it being lifted...they have ones that slide onto your hitch. (seeing your style google them for an idea and make your own) They will help save your trailer and boat from road hazards.

Awesome job on your project...Very cool!

Badass weekend. First time I ever took the boat on smooth water and wife loves it. Might be our new spot. Didn't really take pics a lot. Was too busy having fun.

Boat worked great. Bimini held up perfect. Got yelled at for going 75mph. ( I know, stupid)
Went solo in the morning at clocked 85mph. Told myself not to push it more cause I feel like I'm inexperienced. With time I guess.

Thank you for whoever and came up and said what's up. Glad you guys like the build.

Anyone selling a newer 21 Daytona hull? 🤣

Join the darkside brother. Put that bad ass 300 on a 21 Daytona and you will be in heaven. GREAT combo.

Long runs on smooth water are the absolute best. It's nice to see the boat getting wet, take any vids while underway?

No updates really. Just been driving and enjoying the damn thing.

One thing I did noticed going from the 20" mid to 15" was horrible hole shot. For the Lower river run it sucked so bad it drove me crazy. Thought having two extra passenger ls was the problem.

This weekend I took it out again and pulled the 1/2" holes off the prop. Making it 1" holes. Boom, problem solved. Along with the correct jack plate height, it helped a ton. Wifey and kid was probably annoyed of me launching so many times.

Pretty cool pic wifey took of Connor and I.

That thing looks right on water, beached, AND on the trailer.

Nice work bud!👍🏽

Glad you’re actually using and enjoying it. It IS the reason for all the time and effort.

No price cause I can't afford the boat I want. So I'm sticking with this. Last weekend someone told me I should race the enduro so shit and giggles. Thinking about it. 🤣

83 mph with an Amazon aluminum frame Bimini up. Probably not the smartest thing to do. Got about 1k rpm more to go. Slowly learning how to drive this turd. I'll be happy if this thing hits the 90s. Could use a little bit more trim and up on the jackplate. Data is always good.

Yea I’m sure that Bimini was acting as a drag chute. Probably coulda climbed a few more mph at the same rpm with it down. Looks like you were having a great time and ultimately that’s all that really matters!

Just some boating content.

Two weeks ago we had a big family trip in bullhead. Bought a spare prop thinking I was going to trash my current prop.

Bullhead was pretty dope. We had a pretty big VRBO spot.

There was a warning about the water being low for the weekend which really sucked. We didnt launch the boat unitl 4pm on Saturday. Drove up to Davis Dam and had a blast. Lots and mean lots of Jetskis. Only a handful of boats on the water.

Sunday morning with the water being low we decided to launch at Jack smith and head to Pirates to have breakfast. For the first time I didn't have my kid with me and was cruising at 90 with my cousins. Boat was movin in my eyes. Anddd then engine turned off at 90. Boat stopped quickly and water came over the transom. Thought we were going to sink for a bit. Also got sideways a little because the skeg was out of the water.

My cousin towed me back to the ramp and we put the boat onto the trailer and took it back to the house. I pulled the lower and started the engine and find out engine is good. Thank god. Lower is seized up. This whole trip I thought I was going to lose a lower from a prop smack or hitting a rock. Just went out because of age. Part of boating I guess.

So found a lower in Fresno and made the drive last weekend to pick it up. I have no idea why some of these pictures are sideways. Glitch? @RiverDave

Picked up an 20" driveshaft lower. I need to shorten it 5" to make it work with my midsection. Normally you would take the drive apart and send the driveshaft to some dude in the midwest. He cuts and welds the shaft. I knew that would take at least a month. Shop needs to take the drive apart, ship the shaft, other guys welds etc etc. Kyle at WOTM in Vista said he knew someone that could repline the driveshaft without taking it apart. Contacted the dude and made it happened. Saved sooo much time.

So little less than two weeks we have a working boat again. Let's go play.

Bummer about the break down, but looks like a great vacation. Baller pad too.

Thats pretty damn cool, using the fourth axis to rotate the shaft to cut the splines. It took me a minute to realize the whole lower housing wasn't spinning around with the shaft, duh.

So, is the old lower just junk? Not rebuildable?

Hopefully its rebuildable. Just didn't want to wait because its still mid season. Will drop both these lowers off to the shop end of the season and have it gone thru.

Dude!!!! Share some info!! I've got that lower pulled off my motor and didn't want to tear it all apart just to shorten the shaft. Did you just drop it off at WOT, or to someone else??? I need to do exactly what you did! 25" down to a 20"!

Great pics as always too!! 👍😎

I’m curious to see how your respline solution holds up. Mercury hardens the splines on the shaft and the crank. I’d recommend keeping an eye on them at least for a while until you are comfortable they’re not wearing.

I know from experience using the correct grease on them makes a big difference. Unfortunately Merc no longer offers their specific spline grease that was blue. I have had good luck with their current “extreme grease”.

Glad you got a quick fix and are back up and running. Looks like you’re using it for what you built it for!

Honestly I'm super impatient haha. Just wanted to be back on the water by this weekend.

Everyone that told me who had one sheared was on a 30ft boat with twins. My boat is pretty small and not really jumping it. I only have handful more trips in this season so i'll see how it is after. Most like have it welded if anything for a piece of mind.

Boat been fun and getting abused. Starting to get scratched up in certain areas because of my wife and i mistakes. Loading, pulling up to the docks etc. It's all a learning experience for the next nicer boat.

And thank you for making your build thread. Definitely learned so much from it.

Testing went well this morning. Got a few laps in before work.

New drive seems to work good. Reading on the forums people said I will have major torque steer without the swept skeg. Didn't really feel a difference imo. Only got it up to 70mph today. Was the only person on the lake so didn't want to push it.

What prop are you running with your 1.62 lower?
28 promax. Loving the new ratio. Comes out of the hole quicker and gets up to 70 quicker. Really rare to go 85+ in this thing.
