The last Classic 20 ever made!
Looking to sell our 87 Campbell Classic 20 V-Drive. Currently less motor. It came with a Ford 427 side Oiler but now it’s in pieces and ready to part out.
Here’s the rundown given my short experience with it:
Bought the boat in June as the 4th owner, the guy previous to me had it for nearly 20 years, which it sat in a garage from 2009 until shortly before my purchase of it June 2018. It is the last classic 20 that was made before the mold was destroyed. It was Bob Campbell’s personal boat and has the emblem badged on one side, and his painted signature on the other. Hoses, fluids, filters, impeller, etc. was all gone thru prior to and through the first few Parker outings. Noticed some milky oil and ultimately led to pulling the motor out and it being fully disassembled by Dougans Race Engines which revealed the engine had 3 sleeved cyclinders, one of which had a crack, crank has a crack, and a few other gremlins. A lot of good remaining parts and some still with potential for the right application given it’s so rare.
The boat itself is in really good shape, interior was redone by Hallett shortly before it sat indoors, covered for a decade. Decent stereo with iPod connect, trailer in good shape but could use a freshen up cosmetically. Electric cav plates, new auto bilge, lights all work. Dual 25 gallon tanks on a switch, new dual batteries on a switch. Awesome storage area beneath bow and also beneath the hatch on either side of the engine. Ran great and got a lot of compliments the few hours I had it on the water. It’s been a slow diagnosis since early July and ready to cut ties, rather than try a rebuild or motor swap.
Since my ownership it’s been stored indoors climate controlled in Parker.
$11k for the boat, less motor.
$OBO For the motor as is disassembled, willing to part out.
