I found another Daytona with twins that I have been searching for so this one is going up for sale. I will follow up with much more detail when I get back to the lake to go over the paperwork and receipts but I just wanted to get the word out as there was alot of interest in letting everyone know when I was going to sell it. I found the boat in a barn in Michigan without a engine and had Fallon Marine rig the 300 Promax on it. Interior is faded but has no rips or tears and is structurally perfect.
In the process of getting the boat back on the water I had to remove two layers of automotive paint and clear coat which uncovered that the boat had been sold new as a twin engine and someone over the years converted it to a single. The transom is overbuilt as a result but taking the paint off uncovered the former holes for the other engine. All of the glass work was done right, it just needs the gel redone on the back 2 feet of the boat to make it perfect.
I fixed all of the little shit that had accumulated over the years and now everything works. Boat runs straight and steady at 94 mph up river in the summer heat. Winter time should get it into the low 100's. I know I am forgetting alot, but this is just a starter ad.
1990 hull / 1998 Merc 300 ProMax
New cowl, and graphics
Fresh sportmaster 1.62 lower with billet seal kit and case vent kit
Action jack plate
Seastar pro hydraulic steering system
Blinker trim and lift switches
New trim pump, new windshield, new fuel lines, new fuel valve, new battery
Fuel tanks were removed and cleaned and new sending units installed
New carpet
New trailer tires, LED's and bunks, trailer tongue folds
All gauges work
2 chopper ET props (28 & 30)
$17,000 (will split up $8500 boat / $8500 engine, boat needs to sell first before engine)
