Hello all,

I wasn’t sure the best spot to put this…So I apologize in advance, but I’m looking at the above mentioned Eliminator for possible purchase.

I like the that this boat is a bit larger mod/vp, the price, look, it’s an I/O, and priced fair.

I do not know much about them as far as reliability or how the hull design performs etc etc….

Any opinions and advice would be much appreciated!

Thanks again…

I had one. Nice running hull. Would be a good lake boat. Turns nice, if trimmed up dont set it back down real quick.

Thx for the information. Are you familiar with the Columbia river here in Portland Oregon area? That’s where it’ll be used 95%, it can get pretty choppy in certain areas which I’d try to avoid, but put in the situation once in a while would it be OK? Thanks for your opinion.

How big of chop are you talking about? 2’? 4’?

mostly no more than 2’

Should not be an issue. The hull runs well in 1’-2’ chop. But in no means would I consider it a rough water hull. If the water is rough you will need to hit the throttle and get on top. This is not a hull that runs well if it is over propped. They are a really fun boat to drive.

Yeah I have experienced that “get on top” in my dads schiada 21 which can be fun if you know what your doing and wife isn’t with you lol. I found out today it’s a 1996 not 1991 which I would think is a good thing. It sounds like it would be fine where I plan on doing most of my boating. It’s has just over 400 hours on all stock components he came down to $20k for it which I think is fair in this market? I attached pic of this exact boat in what looks to be their brochure. According to seller it’s one of two made in all red. What size prop did you like on it best?

Honestly i cant remember. Id like to say it had a 22p bravo on it and was probably over propped, it probably should of had a 19p on it.

If set up right they drive like a slot car. I had a 91. There a lot like the stoker bottom.

Truthfully it was my first boat and At the time I did not know much about props. Thinking back I think it came with a 22p and I may have tried a 24. But pretty sure a 21 would have been a better choice. It had about 650 hours on the original motor and could of used a refresh. The old 454’s dont last as many hours as the 496.

That’s an edge tunnel, pretty rare boat, most were v bottoms. Has a mod vp style bottom, if i came across one with that bottom I would not think twice about buying it.

I have noticed they are rare been around boats my entire life and never heard of it from Eliminator until I found this one. But I also don’t claim to know much about boat models before the 2000’s other than my dads knowledge and boats he’s owned which are Schida 21, Hallet Vector and Cougar 21.

I own one and have put close to 1000 hours on it over the years. Mine is an open bow. The boat is a pretty awesome ride. Trimmed up and packing air light on fuel is a really great ride. Boat has never felt squirrelly or done anything stupid. I have never had any problems in parker on a busy weekend in the slop. Get on top of the chop and let it eat. My girls are making me redo the whole boat. It is currently turn key but ugly as hell. Still one of the best boats I have ever owned.

I got the boat from a tow yard like 10 years ago. It was a theft recovery. Built all the seats and hatch and deck. Built a .60 bbc with a decent cam. Through a used drive in it. My my kids in the pictures are 9 and 17 now and refuse to let me get rid of it.

Nice boat and very cool story! The guy ended up not parting with it smh for me lol…but I ended up buying this 1993 Lavey Craft Sebring 20.8 which is what I have originally wanted for years!
