Im looking to change the prop I've ran from day one, about 30 + years(maybe 40).Anyway the original Bronze prop has got to go! Boat does 85+ and porpoises at around 70.
Can't afford new at this time.
I'm in the Bay Area.I'm sure if I took A day off and visited Camp Far West and met some other
V-Drivers I'd probably find somebody with one.
Just wanted to try here first!

thanks,
dave

I have a 2 blade steel V-drive prop for 1" shaft, I think it is 11 1/2 x 15
Also have a 3 blade steel prop about the same pitch, will have to go out to the garage and check them both.
I don't have a v-drive boat anymore.

I might be interested in the 3 blade.

Thank you. On a side note, I sold your son a Gentry cupronickel turbo intercooler along time ago. Does he still have the cruiser?

I just looked at the props, the 3 blade steel prop is an 11" x 16 and the 2 blade is a 11.5" x 15. Both are for 1" prop shaft. IMG_7629.JPG IMG_7630.JPG IMG_7631.JPG IMG_7632.JPG IMG_7633.JPG IMG_7634.JPG

Thanks. I was looking for something with 11.5 min diameter in a 3 blade. Appreciate the pics though.

$250 ok but it looks like it's Bronze.Gotta be steel.
No not bronze, definately steel. There is a small amount of surface rust I will hit it with some steel wool and shine it up and take another picture for you.

well,ok then...11.5x15 steel prop is what this thing needs. One more important factor:LH or RH rotation. I'm not 100% sure what I have so I'll get back to you shortley on that.

The prop is an 11 1/2 x 15 Steel 2 blade, LH rotation. In perfect condition, 1" shaft.

This is the correct prop for a V-drive boat with flywheel drive. LH rotation.
Snout drive, like a circle race boat would use a RH prop.

Two different Flat Bottoms. 1976 Barron Sprint with an injected 460" Chevy 697 HP with 29% gears and a turbo 400 trans.
and also on a 17' Hondo with a BB Chevy, not sure on the gears, but probably 15%.

I am running a 2 Blade 11 1/2 x 16p with 18% gears on my Sanger.
I do have an extra 3 Blade 12 x 15p in the garage.
Don't know that i'd ever use it, just have kept it in case someone damages one we have a back up lol.

They would probably be pretty close in RPM, but the 3 blade is always going to be smoother and the 2 blade a little faster.
