I had a buddy that had a Kawasaki 750 triple.Another friend of mine bought a new Suzuki gs 750 when it came out and did all the mods like a kerker exhaust re jetted carbs etc and talked a lot of shit about how fast it was. Needless to say that old kawi triple handed him his ass.

Damn nice rides. I’ve got some stories of survival on those bikes. Neither of which belonged to me!

That’s very close to the top of my list. I’d be too scared to ride it and I’d be paranoid it was rotting away if I didn’t.

Nice RD and Kawi! My first bike was an RD400. I took a pretty good spill on it and have the scars to show it. The stock brakes and sloppy front ends aren’t the best for hard canyon riding….But they sound great 👍🏼

BRC is about to come out with a 2 stroke conversion for R6. Should be pretty sick.

A local guy here in town took two 750 Kawi motors and hooked them together. He set some speed records at the time.

Those air-cooled engines had a sound all their own. I recall almost creamin' my tighty whities😂 everytime someone rode one past me😊😁
Filled that desire with a couple Banshee quads instead.
A friend of mine in High School had an RD400 and I rode it around several times. Loved the sound but I remember they are quite difficult to manage on the streets of Brea where there is a cop for every 5 people. This is the early 80's.

I loved my 96 banshee and heavily modified it over the years. So much fun.

I was out walking the dog and wife😊 last month and from blocks away I could hear the unmistakable ring-ding-pop coming my way. Was the red/black version but clean as a whistle. I wanted to follow him & find out if he'd sell.

So I get a phone call from a guy I knew from the dog park. He passed away unfortunately but told her I get his motorcycles. Not a clue of what they were. So I go pick them up today and two more two strokes for the collection.

What years are they? My dad just picked up a pretty damn cherry '76 Yamaha that needs a resto but has all the blinkers and mirrors and all that.

Any more and you’ll be banned from California…. just for the amount of blue smoke they could potentially create.

How about the ultimate,
Kawasaki 750 triple widow maker. I had a 350, 500, and 750. The clean 750’s are 20k and up now for a 1972.
