Whats with BAT descriptions no one dares to make a condition call. Its like listening to the Barrett Jackson

LOL, the 7.3 motor turns the 18” wheel of this 2000 truck…..

YIKES!!!! CURRENT BID: $32,175

I think I'm putting my 2001 F350 Dually on Bring-A-Trailer since trucks are now worth more than 2x4's, lol.

Minty 7.3 4x4's have always pulled good money. I found an ultra low mile (38k) 02 Lariat that looked identical to that one on bring a trailer. Paid 14k for it and sold it in 3 weeks for 26k. That was 3 years ago !

If I had 40k spend, I'd spend on this over some pos f150 any ol day of the week.

Someone is gonna score Big time!

I can't stand to read the comments on BAT. If you were completely ignorant going on there for the first time, you would assume every commenter owns a fleet of exotic super cars and rare collectibles.

Have you ever gone online and watched the end of a BAT auction? I watched a motorcycle I was interested in double in price in the last 10 minutes. They add 2 minutes after every bid at the end until somebody gives up.

A lot of places do that, it’s the best way to run a real auction.

I thought, we’ll Id pay through the nose for the right car then I saw the 1 mile, 94 Land Cruiser on here. Last check it was $76k and days to go. geez.

yes, but for the most part everything is always pretty friendly. Not the norm for comment sections. Often pretty informative too.

Somehow I've logged over a half a million miles between the two 7.3's that I've owned and never had a transmission problem
I’ve had 4 of them over the years and put over a million miles on them combined, like you I never had to do a single trans. Hell for that matter the worst repair I did on any of them was 2 injectors in one that had 300k on it. They were are really great trucks, but rode like shit and were grossly underpowered compared to today’s standards.

Yep, trucks have come a long way since the 7.3 Era, but I'd still drive mine anywhere

I burned up my 1st Tranny on my 2001 7.3 Dually around 150K miles. Bought a factory rebuilt one and have approx. 175K on that one towing an 18K pound Toyhauler probably 75% of those miles and still going strong after 325K combined miles. The only repairs besides the tranny on this truck in 20+ years was I had to replace the high pressure fuel line, and replace the fuel injection wiring harness. It's been the best vehicle I've ever owned. I agree though compared to todays trucks the 7.3 is slow af, lol.

Navigator is a gas mod motor with different trans?

I thought is has the same 3 speed with overdrive unit. Could be wrong though. I have towed a ton with it over the years. And has held up great. I do have a rear main leak On the trans now. Need to get under it a pop a new seal in. But hell, after 20 years, things dry out I guess.

I had 170k on my tuned '03 Ram, and it had the dreaded 47RE being that it started life as a CA truck. I was able to keep it together, although I did do the torque converter because the gnarly tune was blowing thru the converter and it was stalling like 2800 when on the pedal moderately lol. If you drive them civil they'll live

Not sure, I thought ford made a lighter duty auto and a heavier duty unit that went in the HD trucks, motorhomes, etc.? Or did they all get the 4R100 after 98 ?

Yes they are great trucks for sure, my sister has one with 43k on it. I borrowed it a few weeks ago to pull my boat to Havasu and they are just super solid trucks. I did do a Mishimoto 32 row trans cooler in all of them which is probably the biggest reason they all lived so long.

I did put a 6.0 trans cooler on my 99 when it had about 50k miles, but the trans in my 97 F Superduty was bone stock and had 265k when I sold it. The truck weighed approx 14,000 lbs depending on how much water I was carrying

3 transmissions on my F350. Snap ring failed on the first one at 162K. Output shaft splines sheared on the second one at 383K. 463K miles on the truck now. My F250 has 268K miles on original trans but has the 32 row cooler. Both trucks are 2002.
