Anybody have any aftermarket brand good or bad on the tow mirrors for the 2500? Driver side was taken off by El Segundo city bus when I was at lunch. Chevy wants $1600 for a new pair. No way. Any help on after market brands would be helpful. Thanks

I'm glad you asked this. I've been planning on asking myself. I see all the different ones on Amazone for like $100 ish. I was looking for some feedback on which one is best too. I'd like the more vertical style over the horizontal and I'd like to keep the electric slide out option.

Maybe the City's insurance should pay for it?
Yes went through insurance. They paid $250. Stating that’s what body shop quoted with installation. They said only used since truck is so old. WTF.

WTF? Lame.

But whatever. For 250 you can get a set like I posted and throw them on your self and have $100 left over for your trouble. I put mirrors on my 99 Tahoe before and it seems to be the same set up on these trucks too. Pop the little plastic cap off, take off the three anchor bolts, unplug power and knock off. Put the other back on. Only issue I had is a dropped a bolt down the door panel! Little bit of a PITA to thread the bolts as theyre counter sunk into the door and the window to get you fingers in there isn't big enough really. Gotta use like needle nose and thread them carefully.

I bought the mirrors you have pictured at the bottom for my '13 dually, and had the caps painted white. They weren't quite as "wiggle free" as the factory, but were pretty good. I never had an issue. They were cheap too, i'd run them again. They are pull-out though, no power slide

Boost Auto Parts makes the power folding tow mirrors with integrated blinkers, and you can customize them. I have a set on my 2015 Chevy 2500.

Here’s the nice thing - my truck didn’t come with power folding mirrors or blinkers on them but you’re able to add those features by installing a few components that Boost sells. I would definitely recommend them:cool:

I have the second set Tank posted on my 02 2500. They are the only way to go, you can see everything. I can't understand how anyone lives with the peanut style mirrors anymore.

Nope, they can pound sand. I've had insurance companies try that shit on a claimant and the claimant said "I didn't sign the policy, your insured did." The insurance paid for brand new OEM. I had Farmers put aftermarket on a policyholders 6mo car that they were still making payments on once because that is what the policy said they could do. SMH

I bought a set of extendable powered and heated mirrors for my Excursion on eBay for $130. They fit perfectly and are rock solid.
