if he gets 50k that is pretty good, I would say anything above that is a bonus. Buddy sold same boat end of last summer with scorpion motor for 23k, oh what a difference a year makes.
Matt? They got 33k I thought. I told Her to hold out for 35k but they wanted it gone.

These things on the trailer are just over 30' with the drive up, about 29' with the drive down.... If you needed dimensions ;)
I’d say closer to 26’. My garage is 30’ exactly and I have a work bench behind the boat and a few feet to play with.

You must have a collapsible tongue on the trailer then. Mine is 30' and have to drop the drive to get it to fit in the garage.

Nope. I know for a fact the garage is 30 because I’ve measured about 100x trying to figure out how I’m going to put my 270 hallett in there 😂.

You can see the bench in the back. I have room in the front and the back of the boat.

If there’s one thing in life I know how to do, it’s read a tape measure

It physically cant be 26'.. The boat hull is 23', you have at least 2 feet off the transom that the drive extends (swimsteps are 17" alone) so lets call it 25' total length of the boat and you are saying the trailer extends only 1 foot past the nose of the boat? You'd be running into the boat with the rear of your truck when you turned.

Maybe yore trailer is shorter? Mine is 30' on the trailer, and so are the other 3 guys I know with them (same boat, same trailer).
Could be. I just know for sure it’s around 26’ on the trailer. I’m still pretty sure I can fit a 270 in there it’s just how hard do you want to work at the end of everyday.

7’ of out drive and trailer tongue seems a little extreme. Most people will say take the boat size and add 4’. That would be 27’ I still think mine is a little shorter.

Maybe yours is smaller :) .. My actual boat is over 25' total with the drive up. Garage with the door open is 30', so a few inches under 30' with the door closed and I can't close the garage door with the drive up. When I drop the drive I have about 6 inches on either end.

I need to talk to hernando anyways. I’ll ask him today when I call. I feel like I’ve asked before for all models though because I know he’s told me for sure a 260 I’ll fit in my garage

The 260 length includes the swim step, which about covers the drive when it is down. So with a collapsible tongue on the trailer, it likely will fit. I think a Cheetah Wildcat may just fit for the same reason.

My 260 with regular tongue is 33' or so. It would not fit in a 30' storage. Boat is 26' 10" plus drive and tongue. Drive down would help and foldable tongue you could probably squeeze in a 30'.

I'm thinking with an inch or two to spare... Or screwed by an inch or two.

Yes foldable tongue I was told it would fit easily. I haven’t tried it but I’m pretty sure with the extra space I have with the 230 I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

With my extended swim platform I added it would not fit. But without would be tight regardless. They have 5 garages at Echo and I was next in line but it would not fit.

The white green and orange one from the website? That’s the only 2017/2018 that’s been for sale.

2018 23 commander with a 1990s Gen 454 that has almost 500 hours, 66k😳

You see that turd was repowered with a '97 small block 😂

These boat prices are insane to me

Totally agree Dave. Been watching for about 4-5 years. Nothing really that can be done. One thing for sure it has made look at a lot more directions that when I first started. New, used, beater, nice, fixer. Looking at all options to find what is the best bang for the buck.

If there are any secrets to the process or area that are the best bang for the buck just let me know!!!

With the price of interior redos, and engine/drive maintenance and repairs, you are money and more importantly time ahead buying a well cared for boat in good condition.

If there is a screaming deal on something that needs repair, and you want to build the boat to use next spring, you might save a few bucks.

Aside from that scouring every classified section you can and hope you get lucky on something that someone has priced a bit below market.

Start digging through RDs recycling, after a summer you should have enough beer cans to melt down and turn into the base of a tritoon. Build a custom interior and slap on a OB and you will be river ready by the following summer.

Thank you that is a good second pick. Currently in that price point I am leaning in this direction. That of course is if I am not able to squeeze the wife out of 6 figures.......

Drive down the boat is 27’4” just measured it twice and I’m giving you an inch.
Bow to tongue is 2”
That’s about what I got. Drive up I’m right under 30’
So your garage is deeper than 30’?

It’s actually a little over 32’ I’m really starting to think a hallett 270 might work or a cobra 260 for sure. Either boat with a 525 would be perfect

Yep that sounds right if you have stuff behind the boat.

My 27 Advantage with the drive down and swing away tongue was just under 30’. I forget the exact measurement but I remember noting that it would fit in a 30’ storage unit. FWIW

I know it’s not a true Hallett. But that 275 could run a large crew.
